City Council met in regular session - Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : W.B. Martin, H.A. Gowman , Geo.W.Kilbern, James Piper , L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
The minutes of Janthary 16th,23d and 30th. were read and approved as read
on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by W.B. Martin .
The following applications for permit to build were received and ordered
granted on motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by H.A. Gowman:

On motion of H.A. Gvsman seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the following
applications for = permit to lay sidewalk and curbing were granted ;
John G. Fleishman - 40 ft. 6 ft. park sidewalk on the south side of Santa Rosa St.
between Islay and Leff Street.
W.G. York -- 75 ft. Eft. park sidewalk on the south side of Santa Rosa St.
between Islay and Leff Street.
It was moved by Geo. W. Kilbern sedonded:by'James Piper`a,nd carried
that the following applications for Sewer connections be granted
Geo. R. Gragg - Osos Street between Pismo and Buchon 0.treet.
Mary O'Sullivan - Osos Street between ?harsh and Higuera Street.
H.N. Whitlock - Pismo Street between Santa Rosa and Toro Street.
Applications of the "lidland Counties Public Sertice Corporation # 38,39
and 40 for permit to set poles ,etc., were referred to the Co=Tissioner of Public Works
for report on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by W.B. martin.
The reports of the City Clerk City Collector and Police Jtadge for the
month of January were received and ordered filed on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by
W,B, Martin.

Petitions requesting the improvement of Osos Street between Railroad
Crossing and Leland Terrace -- Rachael Street between Osos Stra =t and High Street and
Swazey Street bet:veen Osos Street and High Street , Terrace Hill District 0 were received
and on notion of H.A. Gowman seconded by W.B. Martin were referred to the Commissioner of
Public Works with no:ver to act..
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper it ryas ordered that the
Policy with the State Co=ensation Insurance Fund be rene-ved.

It was moved by F.A. Gcws.an and seconded by JamesPiper that the orga.nizat
ion of Boy Scouts be permitted to use the Council Chamber for a meeting place at the
pleasure of the Council. The motion carried.
On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the City Attorney
was directed to interview John B. Isola in re the openiner of Munoz street.
The City Clerk was directed to continue correspondence with the Southern
Pacific Company relative to the opening of Ruth Street by Subway.
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper Ordinance No. 95 ( N.S.)
relative to digging under concrete paved•Streets,was finally passed by the following vote:
Ayes : W.B. Martin , H.A. Gowman , Geo. W. Kilbern , James Piper , L.F. Simeheimer.
N0aB : None.
Absent : None.
On. motion of James Piper seconded by Gee. W. Kilbern license No. 957
issued to D.S. Roza for Taxicab was ordered cancelled .
