City Council met in regular session - Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present W.B. Martin , Geo.-W. Kilbern , James Piper, L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent : H.A /. Gowman.
The minutes of.March the 6th aid 13th were =read and approved as read on
motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the following
applications for permit to build.were granted

The application of the Standard 011 Company for permit to construct a
Ladies Rest Room on part of Lot 6 Block 24 was referred to the Commissioner of Public
'Works on motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin.
On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin the following applicat-
ions for permit to lay sidewalk and curbing were granted:
City Board of Eduoation - 300 ft. full width sidewalk and curbing on the west side
Story Street between Sandercook and Branch Street.
Standard Oil Company - To cut sidewalk , put in drain tile to gutter, replace sidewalk.
An application was received from Herrera Bros. for permit to hold a
Boxing and Wrestling Exhibition on March 29th at E1 Monterey Theatre. The application
was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of
James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
The application of S. Zegar for license for Cigars sideline at 1013 Chorro k3t
was also referred to the Commissioner of of Public Health and Safety for report on motion
of
W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
The following applications for Sewer connections were granted on motion of
geo. 19. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin:
A.E. Henderson - Pismo Street between Chorro and MoroStreet.
Mrs. D. Reidy - Osos Street between Leff and Church Street.
A.W. Shurragar - Palm Street between Johnson and Ida Street.

On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Gec. W. Kilbern the Santa Maria Gas
Company was permitted to open trenches at the following locations , to wit
High Street between Cypress and Price Street.
Nipomo Street between 4olfio and Pismo Street.
Application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation # 43 for
permit to set 2 poles and an anchor on First Street between Mill and Peach Street was
granted on motion of Geo. 71. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin.
