City Council met in adjourned ses4iom —Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : H.A. Gowman , Geo. W. Kilbern , James Piper, L.F. Sinsheimer .
Absent : W.B. Martin.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern:
C.E. Follett - Residence Block 31 Cost $ 3,500.00
Julia Cooper.- Residence Block 97 " 10000.00
O.S. Axtell - 3- stall Garage Block 1$1 250.00
Mrs. P. Albares - Garage Block 172 " 150.00
Ben Maddalina Garage Block 56 " 200.00
Ed Martin - Garage Block 33 " 175.00
The following applications-for permit to lay sidewalk were granted on motion
of James Piper seconded by Goo..W.•Kilbern :
O.J. Belloni - 21 ft full width sidewalk on South side Higuera Street between Garden
and Broad Street.
John Chapek - 36 ft.. full width sidewalk on the South side Higuera Street beyween
Garden and Broad Street,
Thomas F. Branch - 50 ft, full width sidewalk on the west side Broad Street between
Pismo and Buchon Street.
On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern.seconcted by James Piper the following applicati
for permit to omnnect with the City Sewer were granted
Wm-Or Iz - Pacific Street between Nipomo and Broad Street
E.D. Bray - Palm Street between Johnson and Essex Street.
City Board Education - Osos Street between Buchon and Pismo Street.
Caesar Anzioni - Pismo Street between Chorro and Morro Street.
The application of Nick Luthje for permit t.o oonnect two residences on one
sewer was referred to the Commissioner of Public Eorks.for investigation and report, on
motion of James Piper seconded by H.A. Gowman. -
On motion of Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by James Piper the Santa Maria Gas Co
were permitted to open trenches at the following named locations, to wit :
Chorro Street between Peach and Sycamore Street.
Chorro Sterrt between High and Broad Street,
Pacifid Street between.Broad and Nipomo Stree,6
The application of the Pacific Telephone and telegraph Company for permit
to set poles on Dana Street at creek crossing was referred to the Commissioner of Public
Works for investigation and report on motion of James Piper seconded by H.A. Got*an.
The application-of A.R. Smith for license for Garage at 1205 Monterey Str
was referref to Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of
James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
The petition of Jackson Buckman for transfer of license for Transfer busines
to F.M. Jackson and C.A. Dailey and that of A.R. Smith for transfer of Garage license to
Chas. J. Berkemeyer were granted on.motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern..
The petition of J.C. Mc Manus for transfer of .licenses for Soft Drinks ,
Pool and Cigars Sideline to R.C. Ivey was referred to Commissioner of Public Health and
Safety for report on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
On-,motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper, James Jarvis was
granted license for Taxicab.
In re petition of Eliza Hampton protesting against erection of g arage on
adjoining property: Chief of Police Cook reported that the said garage would be
removed.
