The applications of the Fourth.of July Committesfor the privilege of using
Confetti & Balloons. July 3d.3 also for the.privilege of holding street dances on the
evening of July 3d., on Monterey Street between Morro and Chorro Street and on Higuera
Street between Broad and Chorro Street , wwre granted on motion of James Piper aecobded by
Geo. W. Kilbern.
On.motion of H.A. Go:vman seconded by James Piper , Harry D..Rhodes was
permitted to proceed with the laying of an,'-:6 ' side*,valk.for.property owners on Islay Street
near a point where the.same junctions with Toro Street,
The next matter taken up was the consideration of Bids for a pump ; which
were received and opened June 26th at 7:30 P -M- After due consideration and upon the
adviee•of the.City Engineer, it was moved by James Piper and seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern
that the Bid of the San Luis Hardivare and Implement Co , for an 8 112 x 12 Fairbanks, Morse
plunger, Duplex Power Pump at a price of $ 2,105.00 F.O.B. San Luis Obispo, be.: accepted,
