This being the date set by the Council for receiving bids for the con -
struction of Sanitary Sewers, 0 Division I , provision for which was made under the
recent Bond Issue , the Council proceeded to open all bids received , namely:

It was moved by James Piper and seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern that the
lowest bid, namely, the bid of W.J. Tobin of Oakland, California, for the sum of $ 13,378.00
be accepted and that the daid W.J. Tobin be awarded the contract.

On motion of Geo. 1. Kilbern seconded by James Piper the City Clerk
was directed to return the certified checks, which accompanied the hereinabove mentioned
bids ,to the respective unsuccessful bidders .
On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the City Attorney
was directed to prepare all necessary papers in accordance with contract.
On motion or James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the meeting
adjourned to Monday, July 31st. at 7:30 P.',V4

the understanding that the same be a teirporary installation.
The matter of the cancellation of a delinquent Tax Sale for the year 1905
and 1906 on Lot 2 Block 3 Fixiline Terrace Tract , property assessed to F. Dunleavy, was
brought up and on motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin the same was referrred to
the Commissioner of Finance and Revenue and the City Attorney.for report.

The bid of the R.A. Carson Co. being the lowest bid received , it was moved
by James Piper and seconded by W.B. Martin that the bid of the R.A. Carson Co. be accepted
and that the contract be awarded to the said Company.

On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by James Piper the City Clark was

directed to prepare all necessary papers in accordance with the contract :
On motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Lartin the petition of
Joseph Wilson for permit to place an Electric Sign at 964 '-?onterey Street was granted.
On motion duly seconded and carried Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer ar pointed the
following committee to draft Resolutions of respect on the passing of the late Wm. Shirsey,
former Mayor and City Attorney respectively, and present at the next meeting.
