Upon the recommendation of the City Attorney , it was moved by H.A. Gowman
and secoddsd by James Piper that the City Clerk be authorized to cancel a delinquent Tax
Sale. on Lot 2 Block 3 Fixiline Tarrace Tract, assessed to F. Dunleavy for the year 1905 -6.
The motion carried:
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper claims against the City
for the month of July were ordered paid subject to the apprcval,of the Commissioners of
the various departments. 1
On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo.IW. Kilbern the meeting adjourned
to Monday, August 14th at 7:30 P.M.

Petition of Mrs. A. Brovelli for permit to place an Electric Sign , also a
sign on roof of Hotel Granada, was referred to the Co:rmissioner of Public Health and Safet
for reloort.
Petition of property owners on Garden Street between Higuera and Marsh Stree
requesting permission to grade and pave the said Street was granted.ono motion of
James Piper seconded by W.B..?!artin.
A communication was received from Chester E. Jordan, Forest Supervisor,
requesting the Council to contribute the sum of $ 200.00 toward the payment of a Fire Guard
On ::otacn of W.B. Martin seconded by James Piper the request was granted.
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by W.B. Martin , E.J. Gearing was permitt
to engage in the merchandising business pending the filing of a Bond as provided for in
Oddinance # 76. ( New Series ).

This being the date set for receiving bids for the construction of
Villa Street Bridge across Stenner Creek, provision for xhich was r!ade in the recent Bond
Issue , the Council proceeded to open all bids received, namely,:

Maino & Lane Atascadero 74507.00
It was moved by W.B. 'Martin and seconded by James Piper that the lowest
bid, namely, the bid of 'wino and.Lane for the Burn of $ 7,507.00 be accepted and that the
certified checks accompanying the bids Of the unsucceasf.ul bidders be returned. The
motion carried.
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by W.B. Martin the following licenses
