Martin for permit to erect a Garage on part of lot 6 Block 55 was granted. Application of 1-lidland Counties Public Service Corporation No 56 for permit to change location of 2, poles on-Walker Street between Pismo and Pacific Street was referred tc the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report on motion of James Piper seconded by H.A. Gowman. On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Janes Piper the report of City Heal Officer W.F. Cbok was received and ordered'on file. The report of Chief of Police on unpaid licenses was received and ordered filed on motion of H.A. Gorrman seconded by Geo. W. Johnson Fish Peddler .............. 5.00 23.00 The application of Mary Adams for license for Palmistry was denied on motion of H.A. Ganman seconded by W.E. 14artin. In reply to a request by the Council that the City Board of Educaticn file an estimate of Funds needed for School purposes for the year 1922 -23 , Mrs Ruth Merrit�, Clerk of the City Board.of Education advised under date of August 23d., that such estimate had been filed with the San Luis Obispo County Superintendent of Schools to be submitted to the County Board of Supervisors in accordance with the provisions of Section 1612a of the Political Code. It ;aas moved by H.A. Gorman , seconded by W.P. Martin and carried that the City Clerk be , and in hereby directed to request the City Board of Education to return to the City Treasury the amount of 2,258.84., which said amount has been drawn. from Taxes collected for the year 1922 -1923. Ordinance No. 91 ( New Series ) , An Ordinance Levying a Tax for the current fiscal year of 1922 -1923 upon all taxable property within the City of San Luis Cbisl o and fixing the rate of such Tax Levy at $ 1.80 on each one hundred dollars in value of said property for.the purposes herein specified , and apportioned among the funds in the City Treasury as follo•,vs: -General Fund .....
