Van Proyen was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin. On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by W.B. Martin the petition requesting that 8treet.Lights be placed -on Montalban Street between-Santa Rosa and Toro Street and on Toro Street near Olive Street was ordered on file to be taken up with other similar i" petitions.--" C.A. Maino submitted a Proposal for a Model 15 -45 White Chassis with American La France combination Body for the sum of $ 7,932.00 . On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by W.B. Martin it was ordered that the proposal be received and plac on file with other similar proposals on Fire Apparatus . Communimations submitted by Frank Dodd relative to Fire Arparatus were receiv and ordered filed. Matters relative to the purchase of a Fire Truck, additional Fire Hydrants, extension and repair of the Fire Alarm system , etc , were discussed. On motion or Geo. 77..Kilbern seconded by H.A. Gowman the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety and the Commissioner of Supplies were directed to obtain quotati on Fire Hydrants. Messrs. F.H. Throop, L.J. Defosset and J.G. Kilbern. The minutes of Oct. 16th , ?3d and 30th were read and on motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by Jame s Piper were approved as corrected. Bassi - Addn to Filling Station Block 30 " 250.00 On motion of James Piper seconded by H.A. Gowman the following applicatic for permit to lay sidewalk and curbing were granted : 1 I 1 1 1 J.R. Robasciotrti - To replace bituminous sidewalk with 5 ft park s 50 ft. on Mill Street and 150 ft on Toro Street, H.M. Cox - To lay and construct 150 ft. gutter on Palm Street between Toro and Essex Street - also, 50 ft 5 ft park sidewalk and 50 ft curbing and gutt on the East side of Toro Street between Palm and Mill Street. The application of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co for permit to set pole on Ida Street between Higuera and Marsh Street was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by H.A. Goiman. On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper the report of the Police Judge for the month of October was received and ordered filed. City Collor tors report for the month of October was received and ordered filed on motion of H.A. Go-sman seconded by James Piper. The report of the City Collector on licenses was received and referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report at the next meeting. The petition of residents in the vacinity of Sandercock and Price Streets protesting against the keeping of goats by a certain resident of the neighborhood, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety. The application of M.P.Tognazzini for license for Cigars Sideline at 995 Higuera Street was granted on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper. A copy of a Resolution passed by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, concerning the construction of Highways in�the..National Forests was read and ordered filed on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper. An agreement between E.H. Mainecke and Dorothea Meinecke and the City of San Luis Obispo relative to certain Water Rights was presented and read. Matter laid over for further negotiations with parties of the first part. It was moved by James Piper seconded by H.A. Gasman that the claim of 'N.J. Tobin in the amount of $ 100.33 , 6th estimate on 5ewsr Construction be paid, abd tha the work of said Y.J. Tobin , contractor for the construction of Sanitary Sewers under specifications No. 12 be accepted,in accordaiaoe" with the recommendations of P.B. Burch, City Engineer, under date of Nov. 6th 1922. On motion of James Piper secondedby H.A. Gowman the word of Maino & Lane , contractors for the construction of Villa Street Bridge ( Specification No 13 ) was accepted in accordance with the recommendation of the City Engineer, under date of Nov 6th 1922 -- and the claim of said Maino & Lane in the amount of "$ 251.51 was ordered paid.
