Mertin Gray for transfer of license for 2ission Garage to Pickwick Stage Co was granted, Application of the IrIidland Counties Public Service Corporation No. 65 was left over to the next meeting. Upon further discussion of Street Paving the Mayor suggested certain Streets upon which work thereon should be outlined. .It was moved by W,B. Martin and seconded by Chas, Forbes that 4V.B.Burch be tructed to finish specifications for Chorro Street Bridge, also for Septic Tank. Motion carried. On motion of VI.B.Llartin seconded by Chas. On motion of Geo.e ff. kilbern seconded by Chas. Forbes the application of the Otis Oliver Co for license for Tent Show was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety to lay over for the usual time specified in Ordinance. Applications of the Santa Iraria Gas Company for permit to open trenches on Monterey Street between Essex and Johnson Street and on Mill Street between Santa Rosa and Johnson Street were granted on motion of Geo. Fd. Eilbern seconded by Chas. Forbes, The official Bond of R.WePutnam , Police Judge , not being in proper form was referred to the City Attorney. The reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer for the month of June and of the Police Judge for the months of IaIay and June were received and ordered filed on motion of W.B.1ilartin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern. E.P1: Lawrence and I.L.I.Iitchell were before the Council with a map-of a subdivision of the Caudill Tract for approval by the Council. The matter was discussed and it was decided that the Council view the said Tract before taking final actic The City Attorney presented a draft of an amendment to Section 4 of Ordinance No. 92 ( New Series ) in two forms, regulating the parking of vehicles on the Streets of the City. The one providing that Doctors of Medicine be permitted to park for a•period of more than 60 minutes ; the other that Doctors of medicine, physicians and surgeons be permitted to park for a longer period than 60 minutes. It was moved by C.I:I.Carpenter and seconded by Chas. Forbes that the Ordinanance as first read be adopted and passed to print. Discussion. Motion withdrawn. Further discussion followed.. It was moved by W,B.Ilartin and seconded by C.M.Carpenter that the Ordinance as first read be adopted and passed-to print. L.F.Sinsheimer seconded by Chas. Forbes moved to amend by inserting the words " physicians and surgeons " after the words Doctor of medicine. The amendment carried by the following vote : Ayes : Geo. We Kilbern, Chas. Forbes , L.F.Sinsheimer. Noes : None. Absent : None. W,B.Iaartin did not vote. The original motion as-amended was then put and carried by the following vote: Ayes : IT.B.Iwartin, C.I&Carpenter , Chas. Forbes'.. L.F.Sinsheimer. Noes : Geo. '1. Kilbern. Absent : None. The matter of considering certain amendments to the license Ordinance was laid over to the next meeting. Following the announcement of the serious illness of His Excellency, Warren G. Harding, a resolution of sympathy was directed forwarded to him ion follows: c9 The resolult- Whereas, the illness of His excellency, Warren G. Harding, President of the United States of America, has caused deep concern to the citizens of San Luis Obispo, Cal And Whereas, a kindly interest is felt in his repid and complete recovery, Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Saar Luis Obisp California, representing the citizens of said City, that an expression of our deepest be forwarded to his Excellency, Warren G.
