Present : W.B.blartin, C.I•�.Carpenter, Geo.W.Kilbern, Chas.Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent : None. The minutes of January 21st and 28th were read In re minute on application of Mrs. Queenine Warden for license - Minutes of Jan 28th page 185 - It was moved.by W.B.1.1artin and seconded by C,11,Carpenter that the minute be corrected to read " Theatrical Entertainment " ; The motion carried; It was then moved by C.P,I.Carpent and seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern that the minutes stand approved as corrected. Motion- carried. The following applications for permit to build were - granted on• motion of o. 17. Kilbern , John and Julia Stich ere permitted to move a house from Block 9 Weills Addition to Lots 1- 2- 10 -11 -12 Block ;ieills Addition. The following applications for permit to lay sidewalk and curbing were _ granted on motion of Geo.W.Kilbern seconded by FI.B.I,1artin: Hannah Maino - 6 ft park sidewalk and curbing- 150 ft on the east side Santa Hosa St and 50ft on the north side Peach Street. M.E.Bundy - 100 ft 6 ft park sidewalk,;.curbing and gutter on the North.side Liill Street between_ Grove and Park Street.. Raymond Wight - 100 ft 6 ft park sidewalk, curbing and gutter on the North side I,1ill Street between Grove and Park Street. The merchandising Bond of the Singer Seeing I.1achine Co was approved as presented on motion of W.B.Mlartin seconded by Geo. 111. Kilbern. Petition of the Valley & Coast Transit Company ( E.L.Mc Connel ) for permit to install a gasoline sidewalk pump on Broad Street between harsh and Pacific Street was granted on motion of Geo. W.Kilbern seconded by W.B.Martin with the provision that the riork be done subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety. The application of G.C.Rogers for license for Garage at 647 Higuera Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of YI.B.I:Iartin seconded by Chas. Forbes. The applications of Geo.A.Rhoades for license for Lodging House , also Boarding House at 1345 14orro Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of 111.B.1artin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.. The applications of Dr.Roy Iq.Cox and Maggie I9. Clifford for Sewer Connec ion on Peach Street between Santa =osa and Toro Street and on Cypress Street between Branch and Sandercock Streets respectively , were granted on motion of Geo. W. I- ilbern seconded by Chas. Forbes. On motion of W.B.I:iartin seconded by Geo. 19. Kilbern the application of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co for permit to replace a deteriorated pole at corner of Osos and Buchon Streets was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report.. i Applications of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation No. 75 and 76 for emergency work to be done at the corner of Garden and Pismo Streets and.on Beebee Street between High and South Streets respectively , were granted on motion of Geo.l'I.Kilber n seconded by Chas. All licenses reported by the City Collector under the head " Unable to collect " -oe-ere referred to the Chief of Police for collection and report. A communication from the Fremont - Court Parent Teacher Association requesting that the Curfew be rung each evening at eight o'clock was received, and con- tinued for one creek on motion of C.h%Carpeuter seconded by W,B.I,Iartin. A communication from A.B.Tognini of Cayucos ; in re Chemical Fire Apparatu was received and ordered filed on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas. Forbes. Petition of property owners requesting the improvement of Palm Street between Chorro Street and Grand Avenue was received and ordered filed on motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by C.11. Carpenter. Claims against the City for the month of January were ordered paid on motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments. The merchandising Bond,of Rasmus Miller , Surety J.H.Henry , together with license # 1551 for the said business, was ordered cancelled on motion of W,B.Ilartin second by C.M,Carpenter, and the surety relieved of all responsibility. On motion of C,M.Carpenter seconded by VI.B.Ivlartin the matter of the application of the Iiiidland Counties Public Service Corporation n 72 for permit to set pole : Z' I.B.Martin,C.II,i. Carpenter ,Geo.'•V.hilbern,Chas.Forbesg at the corner of Marsh and Chorro Street, was laid over for one week. Communications of A.Scamara and A.J.Harry relative to Sewer extensions on ' Graves Avenue and North Broad Street respectively, were continued for one week. The application of H.N.Hansen for license for Soft Drinks -at 718 Higuera Street was denied on_ :motion of C.I,I.Carpenter seconded by Geo. 'id. Kilbern. Resolution No. 160 ( New Series ) '; A Resolution directing the City Engine ' to furnish plans and specifications for the improvement of certain portions of Branch, Sabdereock,Story, ;lard, Hutton, King,Harris,Price, Cypress and Beebee Streets in the City of San Luis Obispo was introduced and adopted on motion of C,M.Carpenter seconded by Geo. W,Mllbern by the following vote : Ayes: W.B.i ?artin,C.Id.Carpeiiter; Geo.i ri. Kilbern ,Chas.Forbes,L.F.Sinsheimer. 1 Noes :.None. Absent : None. On motion of W.B.Martin seconded by Chas. Forbes it was ordered that the Gas Light standard which now stands in the center of the Block on Pacific Street between Essex and Johnson Street be moved to the corner of Pacific and Johnson Street. Resolution No. 161 ( New Series ) , A.Resolution directing the City Engine to furnish plans and specifications for the Improvement of certain portions of Higuera, Id Marsh, Toro and Nipomo Streets in the City of San Luis Obispo, was introduced and adopted on motion of W,B.Martin seconded by.
