Absent : None, The minutes of Feb. 18th and 25th were read and annroved as read on motion of 'W.B.Yartin seconded by Chas. On motion of W.B.Diartin seconded by C.hI.0arpenter , Hamilton Bassett was permitted to connect with the City Sewer on Marsh Street between Beach and Carmel Street. Applications of the I,Iidland Counties Public Service Corporation Ito. 81 & 82 for permit to set poles and install anchors on South Broad Street near Francis Street and on Peach Street between First and Ida Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public Works with power to act on motion of W.B.I artin seconded by C.P:I.Carpenter. The application of Herrera Bros for license for amusement Parlor at 874 14' Higuera Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of Geo.W.Y•_ilbern seconded by Chas. Forbes. The application of Mary J.Gnesa' for license for Restaurant at 995 Higuera Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of Geo.17.Eilbern seconded by 1 `1.B.1.1artin. On motion of Geo.':'I.Kilbern seconded by Chas.,Forbes the application of the Eagle Pharmacy for license for.Cigars Sideline was referred to Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report. The application of Charles I:Iartin for license for Lunch flagon was referred, on motion of Geo.',J._Tilbern seconded by Chas. Forbes, tb;sthe Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report. 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 On motion of W.B.LIartin seconded by Geo.1F.Lilbern the Merchandising Bond W.1I.17alker , Sureties Mrs O.P.P:Iurray and H.C.Lnight , was ordered cancelled i and the sureties released. The petition of 17.1.4.111alker for transfer of licenses for hlerchandise and Cigars Sideline at 1447 Beach Street to S.E.Schuyler, was granted on motion of Geo.W.I:ilb seconded by II.B.hiartin. The report of the Police Judge for the month of February was received and ordered placed on file on motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by VI.B.I:Iartin. The petition of C.A.I:iaino for permit to pave a strip between lire of High- way paving and curb line on Santa Rosa Street , from corner of Santa Rosa and Peach Street .Northerly for 150 ft toward Sycamore Street in front of lot 4 Block 34 was received , and granted on motion of Geo.Vi.silbern seconded by W.B.Martin. The applications of John J.Davis and Edward Bavena for appointment as Traffic Officer were received and ordered placed on file on motion of FI.B.Idartin seconded by C.I:I. Carpente r. P.A.H.Arata, Postmaster , addressed the Council relative to the matter of the extension of the Postal Carrier Service for the City of San Luis Obispo, and requested the Council to cooperate in the matter of arranging for a system of numbers for buildings in the extended district within the City Limits, and also contiguous territory without the City. The County to bear expense for that portion without City limits. Discussion. It was moved by C.M,.Carpenter and seconded by Geo.II.F_ilbern that the request be granted that Mr. A.F.Parsons be employed to do the designated work in accordance with Ordinance and Iiap on file. The motion carried. C.::.Iaiayhall, Geo.H.Andrews , D. I:iuzio and R.Righetti appeared relative to contemplated Street Improvement. On motion of Chas.Forbes seconded by Geo.Il.yilbern claims against the City for the month of February were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments. Ordinance No. 97 ( New Series ) , An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 45 Entitled " An Ordinance to Establish Fire Proof Building-Limits and Prescribing Building Regulations ", Approved April 17th 1890, as amended; was introduced and passed to print on motion of C.M1.Carpenter seconded by W.B.Hartin by the follovring vote: Ayes I11.B.11artin, C.1.1. Carpenter. Geo.W.Hilbern, Chas.Forbes , L.F.Sinsheimer. Noes None, Absent Done. Ordinance No, 98 ( New Series ) , An Ordinance Defining and. Establishing a Fire District within_ the City of San Luis..Obispo and limiting the construction of Building within said District, was introduced and passed to print on motion of C.I:I.Carpenter second by W.B.I:iartin by the following vote Ayes : IJ.B.Ieartin, C.M.Carpenter , Geo,VI.Y.ilbern, Chas. Forbes the I:Ierchandising Bond of Rodgers Grocery ( Vlm.F.Rodgers) , Surety I•;irs.I•:I.Rodgers , was approved. , On motion of C.l4.Carpenter seconded by '11.B.hlartin the application of the Mission Drug Company for license for Cigars Sideline at 862 I.ionterey Street, was granted.
