Applications for permit to connect with the City Sewer were ;ranted on motion
of Geo.w.Kilbern seconded by Chas. Forbes:

I:Irs. Jane Murphy - Irlurray Avenue �.-�between Graves and Hendersun Street,
Application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation # 83 for permit
to move pole approximately 60 ft north on Higuera Street at corner of High Street, was
referred to the Commissioner of Public Works with power to act , on motion of Chas. Forbes
seconded by Geo.l' /.Kilbern.
The application of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for permit to
replace a 30 ft pole on Peach Street between Toro and Essex Street was granted on motion
of Chas. Forbes seconded by Geo.1,11. Kilbern.
On motion of Geo.Vi.Kilbern seconded by Chas Forbes the applications of the
Santa Maria Gas Company for permit to open trenches in the Streets at the following named
locations were granted :
Higuera Street between Toro and Ida Street
Garden Street between Islay and Leff Street -
Broad Street between Church and Upham,Street
Toro Street between Marsh and Higuera Street
The application of Ie Caughan and Stowe for permit to install four gasoline
storage tanks in Block 120 Heeds Addition at junction of Higuera Street and Marsh Street
was granted on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern subject to the approval
of the City Engineer.
On motion of Geo. 1 ,1/. Kilbern seconded by Chas Forbes the application of
R.Ele Bernard for permit to hang a board sign ( 18 " x 6 ft ) at 1239 I:Ionterey Street was
referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report.
The. petition of property owners relative to the abandonment of a portion of
Elily Street was laid over to the nest meeting.
The applications of l'1.R.Donr_elly and Louis Fernandez for appointment to the
positions of Police Officer and Traffic Officer respectively were ordered filed -on motion
of Geo.W.Kilbern seconded by Chas. Forbes.
