The Commissioner of Public Health and Safety reported that a new Pound
had been established at the site of the Sewer Disposal Plant; that Ilathaniel Gaziola
had been employed as assistant round master, to serv�at such times as needed, at the rate
of Jp' 100.00 per mouth. '
On motion of C.I: ?.Carpen_ter seconded by Geo.1,7.Yilberr_ the City ':�gineer
was directed to make a thorough survey- of the !dater situation in the City of San Luis Obisp
and report findings to the Council,
On motion of C.I,.Carpenter seconded by Geo.',1.I'ilbern the: meeting adjourned.

of Assistant Engineer of the Fire Department were received and ordered placed on file on
motion. of C.IYI.Carpenter seconded by Geo.Y,. rilbern.
A petition was received from Gus Stocklausen et -.1, ( Volunteer Firemen )
for an'increase�n compensation from $ 1.00 to $� 1.50 per hour for the first hour or part of

an hour , for all calls from 6 P.M. to 6 A.P:4. The petition was granted on motion_ of

Petition of C.C.Lang for -permit to'cut pepper trees on Islay Street between _
Iipomo and Broad Street was granted on motion of Geo.171.1,_ilbern seconded by Chas Forbes.
On motion. of C.I:I.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes , matter in re Ivlotor
Vehicle Fund and Gasoline Tax Fund continued pending further report by the City Attorr_ey,
Ea.tter relative to the change of name of a portion of Sycamore Street and
Hathway 'venue was continued one week on motion of C.H.Carpenter seconded by Geo.W.Eilbern.
C.A.I;Iain_o appeared and protested aai.nst the prolonged whistling of engines
in the vicinity of Peach and Ida Streets and prayed the Council to take some action to
abate the nuisance. TTatter continued.

On Lotion of C.1.I.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the petition of F.A.S
for treanfer of license for Lunch Counter at 686 Higuera Street to Fred D. Chiesa was granted.

sideline at 686 Higuera Street granted on motion of C.I1.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.
