The matter of the City Health Department merging with the County Health
Unit was brought
up.
Commissioner Carpenter presented
a contract relative
to same.
Discussion

by Chas Forbes that

Attorney be requested to examine the proposed contract and report at the next meeting as to
its terms. The motion carried.
Relative to the conservation_ of hater: It was moved by Chas Forbes and
seconded,by Geo.W.I;ilbern that consumers of water in the City of San Luis Obispo , be
requested to cooperate with the Council in the conservation of 'r'dater The motion carried
The matter of the appointment of an assistant Engineer in the Fire Depart
ment was continued for one week.
Petition for the paving of IvTarsh Street was presented by I1r. T.A.Greerleaf
The matter was discussed at length and on motion of C.H.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes
the following motion was offered: That the Street Superintendent be directed to prepar
a statement as to three separate types of pavement for use on Marsh and Higuera Ida,
Toro
and I:ipomo
Streets
together with
statement as to relative
costs thereof, the three typ
