The minutes of September 2nd., 3 rd., 4th., 5th., 8th., 15th., 22nd., 25th.,
and 29th., were read and approved as read on:motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by C.IJ.Carperiter.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
Chas Forbes seconded by C.111. Carpenter :

On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C. I01. Carpenter the application of
J.T.Rose for permit to lay 80 ft of 8 ft sidewalk on the South side of Pismo Street
between Morro and Osos Street was granted.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C.IrI.Carpenter the following applicati
for permit to connect with the City Sewer were granted :
C.E.Carpenter - Higuera Street between Toro and Essex Street.
Knights of Columbus - Marsh Street between Broad and Nipomo Street
1?.J.11osa - Broad Street between Sandercock and Branch Street
Mathews & Carpenter - Morro Street between Higuera and Marsh Street.
Application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation No, 89 for
permit to do certain work on Nipomo Street between Monterey and Dana Street was referred to
the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report.
The reportd of the City Collector and the Police Judge for the month of
September were received and ordered filed on motion of C.IeI.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.
On motion of C.I:I.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the petition of
Fred Champlain , requesting that a Gas Light be installed on Fairview Avenue, near the
Southern Pacific Railroad Bridge was.referred to the Commissioner of Public Works,
The petition of Henry Redmond for transfer of license for Mdse ( Groceries )
Soft Drinks and eigars Sideline at 1371 Ycnterey Street to T.E,Beaulieu, granted on motion
of C.IvI.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.
Petition of Granite Construction Company for transfer of license for
merchandise to Central Supply Co., granted on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C.IyI.Carpent4r.
The application of Paul R-6 Carroll for license for Taxicab was referred to
the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of
