The petition of Samuel C. Pickett , et al, for the improvement of Ida Street between,Palm and Mill Street was received , and granted , on motion of lr.B.Iiartin second @d by Chas. Forbes. Petition was received from N.J.Shields , et al, requesting the improvement Idill Street between Osos and Ida Street. . Discussion . It was moved by C.M.Carp and seconded by Geo,W.Kilbern that the City Engineer be instructed to furnish the Council with plans and specifications for the omprovement of Bill Street in accordance with the - petition presented. The motion carried. Applications of Joe Kenner and Gottlieb Studle for permit to operate Vendors ons on the streets , were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for r On motion of 1W.B.Martin seconded by C.I:4.Carpenter claims against the City for the month of December were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments. M. Lewin addressed the Council relative to the need of a sidewalk on the south side of Pismo Street between Broad and Nipomo�Street , The Commissioner of Public Works was directed to interview property owner relative to same. It was moved by C.M.Carpenter and seconded by Chas. Forbes that the City Attorney be directed to interview, owners of Bunkers and ascertain the -i,r attitude, as a preliminary step, toward the abating of the alleged nuisance. The motion carried. 1,W,I:Ioore, Street Superintendent, presented Plans and specifications, also an estimate of Cost of the Beebee and High Street Storm Drain. Discussion. On motion of C.I.I.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the matter was laid over for one week. Applications for the regular quarterly licenses were granted on motion of C.IsLCa.rpenter seconded by W.E'.I:Iartin. Ordinance Noe 108 ( New Series ) An Ordinance Revoking the Permit granted to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Luis Obispo, to use a portion of Higuera Street and repealing Ordinance No. 56 ( New Series ) wras finally passed on motion of C.I:I.Carnenter seconded by '.Ir.S. I�Jartin by the following vote : Ayes : ',r.B.iv'lartin, , . C.II.Carpenter , Geo.'.?. ilbe;rn, Chas Forbes, i:.F.Sinsheimer. Noes : None. Absent : None. On motion of Geo.YI.Kilbern seconded by ','Y.B.Irlartin it was ordered that the services of the Assistant Pound Easter be continued through to February 1st. Relative to the improvement of Lower Hip.-aera Street : Discussion. It was moved by C.i.Carpenter and seconded by W.B.I:dartin that the Oity Engineer bring in plans and specifications for the improvement of Lower Higuera Street. Specifications to call for a 5 inch hydraulic concrete base vrith a 2 1/2 inch asplaltic wearing surface and 6 inch gutter, more or less, also curbs and sidewalks where same do not now exist.
