The minutes of January 5th and 12th were recd and ^,,.p-roved as read on motion
of Chas Forbes seconded by Geo.l'.I.ilbern.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of

The application of S.I.T.Pasion for license for Billiards and Fool at 1124
Broad Street was referred to the Commissioner of-- ALblic Health and Safety for report, on
motion of Geo.'H._%ilbern seconded by Chas Forbes.
The report of the City Clerk for the month of December was received and order
filed on motion of 17.B.i•7artin seconded by Chas Forbes.
On motion of ;I.3.I: artin seconded by Chas Forbes a communication of
Norman IN.Hall, Chairman 1924 Community _:mas Tree Committee, was ordered placed on file.
A petition signed by S.H.Call, Lawrence Austin, C. Paiarola, Ah Louis and
13.1yrtle G. Bahlman, who on Dec 1st 1924 requested that their names be stricken from the
petition of G.C.Mathews et al, for the Paving of Palm Street, now request that their names
be considered a part of the original petition for the improvement of the said street. The
request of the petitioners was granted on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C.I1.Carpenter.
r On motion of C.I:I.Carpenter seconded by Geo.W.Yilbern the City Bngimeer was
requested to check the frontage represented on the petition for the Inprovement of Palm St.,
Id report to the Council the percentage of frontage actually represented thereon. The
motion -carried,

The petition of N.C.Brew et al, for the paving of Buchon Street from Osos Streit
to llipomo Street was received and the same was granted on motion of W..B.I;Iartin seconded by
Geo.W.Hilbern. Commissioner Chas Forbes, seconded by Geo,W.Yilbern, then moved that the
City engineer be authorized and directed to prepare plans and specifications for the improv
ment of the said street as petitioned for. The motion carried.
