Mayor City Cldfk City Hall, Thursday, March 26th 1925 - 7 :30 P.M. City Council met in special called session - Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding. Present W.B.Martin, Geo.W.Kilbern, Chas Forbes , L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent C.M.Carpenter. The called meeting was for the primary purpose of finally passing Ordinance No. 110 ( New Series ) concerning the bonding of the City of San Luis Obispo for certain sewer improvements in the sum of $ 18,000.00, introduced and passed to print March 16th. 1925, and for the purpose of considering and act upon such other and further matters as may properly come before said meeting. Ordinance No 110 ( New Series) , An Ordinance calling an election, consolidat ed with the General Municipal election and submitting to the qualified electors of the Ci of San Luis Obispo the proposition of incurring a debt and bonding said City, was finally passed on motion of Iff,B, Martin seconded by Chas Forbes by the following vote: Ayyes : W.B.Martin, Geo.W.Kilbern, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer. Noes : None. Absent : C.M.Carpenter. Dr. Niles W. Atherton addressed the Council relative to-parking space at his place of business on Morro Street. '� 91 � 2 L'e The application of Clarence Stowe for.permit to build a. service Station at the north east corner of Higuera and South Streets ( Block 152 Harford Addition ) at a cost of $ 2,000.00 , also to install an underground storage tank of 10,000 gallon capacity was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety and the City Engineer for report on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by W.B.Martin. On motion of W..B.Martin seconded by Geo,W,Kilbern the following applications for permit to lay sidewalk and cutbing were granted May A. Maine - 50 ft full Width sidewalk on the South side Mill Street between Osos and Santa Rosa Street. J.C. and Gertrude Adams.- 75 ft 5 ft park sidewalk , curbing and gutter on the east side Garden Street between Upham and Church Street. James G. Brooks - 65 ft 5 ft park sidewalk , curbing and gutter on the east side Garden Street between Upham and Church Street. James D. & Grace Johnson - 50 ft 5 ft park sidewalk on the east side Garden Street between Upham and Church Street ; 90 ft curb and gutter on the douth side Church Street between Garden and Chsrro Street. A.Y1,Mc Caughan and B.C.Van Schaick - To replace 60 ft full width Bituminous sidewalk with 6" concrete sidewalk. Replace stone curb with concrete curb. Recess curb on Higuera Street for distance of 60 ft for approach. Also to reoess - curb on Nipomo Street for a distance of 90 ft and cover sidewalk with crushed rock. The merchandising Bond of H.W.Rudolph in the amount of $ 200.00 Surety Sun Indemnity Company of New Yonk , was approved on motion of W.B.Martin seconded by Geo,W.Kilbern. The following sewer connections were granted on motion of Geo.W.Kilbern seconded by Chas Forbes: Frank S. Mott - Church Street between-Broad and Nipomo Streets. F..L.'Noodward - Grove Street between Palm and Mill Street. Application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation No. 98 for permit to set one pole and 2 anchors at Nipomo and Higuera Street was referred , on motion Chas Forbes seconded by W.B.Martin to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report. On motion of Geo.W.Kilbern seconded by Chas Forbes applications of the Counties Public Service Corporation No 89 -90 -96 and 97 were granted. Communication received from Tocoloma Tribe No, 160 Order of Redmen, request the Council to appoint a committee of one to act in an advisory capacity with the General Arrangements Committee of the local Tribe to arrange for the Great Council sessions of the Order to be held in this City commencing August - .18th. Discussion. It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern that the Mayor designate the committee of one; (Thereupon Mayor Sinsheimer named Commissioner W.B.Martin. In a zommunieatinn the Union Oil Company applied for permission to excavate and treat pipe lines from a point beginning at the intersection of Pismo and Higuera Streets southerly for a distance of approximately 1400 ft. past intersection of French and Higuera Streets, on account of the proposed paving on Higuera Street. On motion of Geo.VI.Kilbern seconded by Chas Forbes the request was granted. Ordinance No. 111 ( New Series ) An Ordinance providing fOr a Milk Inspecti tment was passed to print on motion of W.B.ILartin seconded by Geo.VI.Kilbern by the ollowing.vote yes : W.B.L:artin, Geo *W.Kilbern, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer. oes : None, lbsent : -C.M..Carpenter. Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer suggested that dY.B.Burch ,C.B., be appointed to do the preliminary work.in connection with the proposed new. sewage disposal plant as outlined by the State Board of Health. It being understood that the cost of the preliminary work would not exceed $ 19000.00. On motion of 6J.B.Iv?artin seconded by Chas Forbes, VI.B. Bur 1 1 1
