City Council met in adjourned session - Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : W.B.Martin, C.M.Carpenter, Geo.W.Kilbern, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
- The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
Geo.1I.Kilbern seconded by Chas Forbes :
L.C.& Julia Bell - Two Residences part lot 1 Block 38 Cost 59000000

The application of J.C.Peyton for license for Garage at 402 Higuera Street
was received and referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on
motion of Geo.W.Kilbern seconded by Chas Forbes.
The petition of J.L.Anderson for permit to place a Southern Auto Club sign
on Monterey Street , in front of Hotel Anderson , was granted on motion of W.B.Martin
seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern.
Petition was received from A.W.Mc Caughan and E.C.Van Schaick requesting
to install 4 - 550 gal. underground storage tanks, conneeted with 4 - 10 gal. visible air
pumps on lot 8 Block 8 . Said tanks to be placed at a depth of four feet under sidewalk
Discussion . , It was moved by Geo.W.Kilbern and seconded by II.B.Martin that.the petitio:
be granted with the provision that the work be done to the approval of the City Engineer
and the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month of February was received and
ordered filed on motion of I'J.B.Martin seconded by Chas Forbes.
The applications for the regular quarterly licenses were ordered granted on
motion of C.14. Carpenter seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern.
In lieu of permit filed March 23rd,, Clarence Stowe and J.A. Robasciotti
requested permit to install two 2,500 gallon underground storage gas tanks at service
station to be located at corner Higuera and South Streets. Said tanks to be placed
at a depth of four feet. Discussion . It was moved by C.M. Carpenter and second
by W.B.I;iartin that the permit be granted as presented. The motion carried,
