City Council met in adjourned session - Commissioner W,B.Martin presiding.
Present : W.B.Martin, C.M.Carpenter , Chas Forbes.
Absent : Geo.14.Kilbern , L.F.Sinsheime:r.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes:

On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C.M.Carpenter the following applications
for permit to lay sidewalk 9nd curbing were granted .:
O.B.Vallancey - 100 ft curbing and gutter on the south side Church Street between Garden
and Chorro Street.
Mrs. Marion Bagley - 50 ft full width sidewalk on the west.side Chorro Street between
Church and Leff Street.
The reports of the City Collector and Police Judge f6r the month of April
were received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C.M.Carpenter.
The petition of R.F.Shawhan for permit to extend exhaust pipe for Coffee
Roaster across and over sidewalk at 1017 Morro Street was continued to the next meeting.
Petition of E.Taylor Smith at al relative to the parking of Automobiles in
Garden Street between Higuera and Marsh Street was received and placed on file for future
consideration on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.
The application of F.T.Takumi for license for Taxicab. at 866 Palm Street
was referred to Commissioner C.M.Carpemter for investigation and report on motion of
Chas Forbes seconded by C.M. Carpenter.
The applications of Mrs. Lenore Gale and Mrs. E.D.Sackett for license for
lodging House at 143 Santa Barbara Avenue and 977 Santa Rosa Street respectively , were
referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of
Chas Forbes seconded by C.M.Carpenter.
On motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas. Forbes the following licenses
(were ordered cancelled:
