HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/13/19251 1 1 1 0 The.applications of Joe Robasciotti for license for Soft Drinks and Cigars sideline at 1020 Court Street, which were laid over at the last meeting, were again before the Council. Attorney Albert Nelson appeared for the petitioner and discussi followed Commissioner C.M.Carpenter reaffirmed his recommendation of June 29th and moved that the applications be not granted. The motion was seconded by H.E.Qox Matter was discudsed further and a roll call vote resulted-as follows: Yes : C.M.Carpenter , H.E.Cox. No : John Chapek , Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent : None. On motion of C,MXarpenter seconded by Chas Forbes claims against the City for the month of June were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments. The application of Foley & Burk Combined Shows for license for " Show " for a period of two weeks during month of August was received and referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by John Chapek. J.E.Van Schaick appeared and requested the Council to contribute toward a fund to defray the expense of a Band for public Concerts during the session`of the Redmen's 'Great Council, which convenes in the City the week of August 17th. Discussion. It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by C.I.I.Carpenter that the City appropriate - 150.00 to provide for at least four free public concerts during the week of the Redmen's convention. The motion carried. The matter of the Health Unit Contract was laid over for one week on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by C.1-T.Carpenter. Matter of Deeds for Sewer rigths of way left over to the next meeting. On motion of C.LI.Carpenter seconded by John Chapek the meeting adjourned to Monday , July 13th. at 7 :30 o'clock P.M. The first matter discussed was in reference to the proper course such line should take, it being finally determined that such a sewer line should be constructed across private property south of ionterey Stre t and be connected with the City Sewer system near the intersection of Higuera and Grove ' Streets.
