City Hall, 1:Ionday, July 20th 1925.- 7:50 P.II.
City Council met in regular session - Commissioner Chas Forbes presiding.
Present C.I:i. Carp enter, John Chapek, H.F.Cox, Chas Forbes.
Absent L.F.Sinsheimer.
The minutes of July 6th and 13th were read and approved as read on motion of
H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek.
On motion.. of H...Cox seconded by John Chapek the application of Ernest Banche
for permit to build an addition to residence on lot 13 Block 115 i•_urray and Church :dditior_
was granted.
_AiDplication of L.C.Bell for permit to lay 150 ft of 5 ft park sidewalk and
curbing on the east side of Toro Street beti.-veen Palm and Iv=ill Street and 95 ft of same on
11 Street beteen Toro and Essex Street was granted.
The application of :,.C.and Julia Bell for permit to connect with the City
Setwer on Toro Street between Palm and IYlill Street was granted.
On motion of H. :.Cox seconded by John?. Chapek the applica.tionscof Cline's
ctric.Shop for permit to hang Electric Signs at the Ford Garage , 1161 L3omterey Street ,
and at the Hotel Midway, 995 Higuera Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public
th and Safety for report.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month of June es received and ordere
led on motion of John Chapek seconded by C.11.Carpenter.
This being the date set in accordance with minute order of June 22d. 1925 -
alling for bids for the construction of Sewers under Plans and Specifications for Seiner

Upon motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox the aforesaid bids were refe
to the City engineer for investigation and report.at- .the.:next:.meeting.
The matter of Parking of Automobiles was discussed at length between members of
the Council and Merchants.
H.E.Cox moved that the time limit foe parking of cars _.
as set forth in the Parking Ordinance be changed from 60 minutes to 120 minutes. The
motion was lost for the lack of a second. I.Iatter to be taken up at the next meeting.
S.M.Glover was before
the Council in
re license for Dogs.
Also relative to
permit for operating kennels.
Discussion.
It was suggested that
I,ir Glover apply
for permit for kennel.
It was moved by C.IJ.Carpenter and seconded by H.E.Cox that the matter of the
lBeebee Street Storm Drain be. taken up at the next meeting.
In re enforcing Dog License Ordinance; Discussions it was molted by
C.L.Carpenter that the Chief of Police be directed to take active steps toward enforcing
the dog license Ordinance as it now stands.
