City Council met in regular session_- Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : C.I.I.Carpenter, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
The minutes of August 3rd., 10th., 17th.9 24th., and 31st, were read and
approved as reed on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
John Chapek seconded by H.E.Cox :
John Kotrlik - Remodel garage into living quarters pt lot 5 Block 28
Jose Vincente Feliz Garage part lot 1 Block 35

The application of Albert Nelson for permit to lay 25ft of full width sidewalk
on the east side of Toro Street between Higuera and °onterey Street, was granted on motion
of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek.
On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the application of H.Had PerrIT
for permit to connect with the City Sewer on i.iurray Avenue between Graves and Henderson
Avenues was granted.
Application of the 11idland Counties Public Service Corporation # 100 , for
permit to set a pole on Fairview Avenue approximately 100 ft off Buchon Street was granted,
on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek , with the provision that the work be done
under the supervision.of the.City_Engineer,-
The application.of.Cline's,Electric Shop for permit to hang an Electric Sign
for O.C.Orr Co_at_786_Higuera.Street, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health &
Safety for report, on motion of H.3.pox seconded by John Chapek.
The reports of the City Collector and Police Judge for the month of August
tsrere received and ordered filed on motion of C.H.Carpenter seconded by H.I;.Cox.
Idr. Larr, was,before,the.Council.iiiith.a map of a subdivision of property lying
outside and adjacent.to_ the ,Northeasterly...City.Limits, to be knonm as "i-Tonterey Heights ",
requesting the_Council,to approve.same0. Discussion. It was moved by C.I:,I.Carpenter
and seconded by.Chas_r'orbes that the Iiap be. accepted as presented by N r. Law, with the
understanding that the wishes of the City relative to the placing of poles, sewage lines,
ater lines , etc., be regarded. The motion carried. L.F.Sinsheimer voting negatively)
L.11.Isioore, City Engineer, furnished the Council with the following summary of
the bids received and opened August 31st 1925, for the Improvement of portions of Beebee,
High, Pismo, 'Walker.and Higuera Streets in the City of San Luis Obispo :

Resolution of Award No. 187 ( l:ew Series) of the City Council of the Cit - of
San Luis Obispo awarding the Contract for the work described in Resolution of Imtention
No. 185 ( New Series) of said City Council, for the construction of Storm Drain on Beebee
Street and other streets to W.H.Porter , was introduced and adopted , on motion of H.E.Cox
