HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/08/1925The petition of Dr h.T.V1ade in re Delinquent Taxes against lot 5 in Block 4 v7eills Addition was referred to the City Attorney for investigation and report on motion of John Chapek seconded by H.F.Coz. Claims against the City for the month of September were ordered paid subject to the anproval of the heads of the respective departments, on-- motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by C.I:I.Carpenter. The petition of Joe 1:enne-r for permit to stand and maintain an Automobile stand on the east side of IJlorro Street between Higuera and I:Ionterey Street for the purpose of selling Peanuts, popcorn, candy etc., i�as before the Council. It was moved by .Carpenter and seconded by H. .Cox that the petition be denied. The motion carried: I:Iayor Sinsheimer voting " No ". _ The petition of the Automobile Club of Southern California requesting permit to place standard Traffic direction signs at locations as set forth -in minutes of Sept.28th ' was again before the Council. Co;rnnissioner.of Public Health and Safety reported favorably on the petition and on his motion seconded by John Chapek the petition was grante with the understanding that said signs would be removed if the Council so desired. On motion of C.I.T.Carpenter seconded-by H.E.Cox the application of Frank V. Se pa for permit to hang an Electric Sign ( 2ft x loft ) across the sidewalk at 676 Higuera Street Sias granted. The City Engineer presented a sketch of the proposed retaining wall to be constructed by 1W.W. Eathews. The matter was discussed and continued one week. Palmer, President of the Board of Trustees , was received, praying that the plans and specifications submitted be adopted, and that permission be granted petitioners to run said sewer along Pismo Street to the end of the City Sewer on said Pismo Street, and when said proposed sever is completed to connect said sewer with the City Sewer bn said Pismo Street, Attorney A,s,.
