On favorable report and motion of 0.11. Carpenter seconded by H.F.Cox the application of the American Legion for license for Dutton's Society Circus for the dates of June 3d, 4th and 5th was granted at a license fee of $ 25*00 for each performance, hatters pertaining to the improvement of Buchon Street were nontinued to the -next meeting. On motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by- H.Z.Cox the meeting adjourned. The minutes of hay 17th.124th. and June 1st,. were read and approved as corrected on motion of Chas Forbes secinded by H.H.Cox, The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of H.3.Cox seconded by C.M.Carpenter: Louis de la Rosa - Addition to Residence lot 3 Block 78 Cost 50.00 Audrey Coffey - Addn to residence lot 11 La Vina Block " 200.00 R.Bassi - Repairs to building part of Block 30 " 200.00 Application of the Granite Construction Co., for permit to build a F ;rarehouse on Lot 18 Block 186 Ingleside Tract, at a Cost of $ 1,000.00 _was referred to the Commissio er of Supplies for investigation and report on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox. On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.B.Cox the application of Foster Hleiser Co for permit to;erect 160 ft of Advertising sign Board on lots 11 -12 and 25 of Block 3 I,Ic Bride Tract, eras referred to the Commissioher of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report. Application of Louis De la Rosa for permit to connect with the City Sewer on Santa Rosa Street at Stenner Street was granted on motion of H.E.Co :L seconded by John Chapel:. Application of the Granite Rock Co., for permit to place a board sign on the Bunkers of the Granite Honk Company on Santa Barbara Avenue was referred on motion of H.B':Z ox seconded by Chas Forbes:to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council. Hiouera' Sts- to -Burns 8: Buns. 3g1 The reports of the Police Judge and the City Collector for the month of Tray were received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.F.Cox, Communication from W.F.Iaixon, Secty of the California Highway Commission read. Same ordered filed on motion of H.E.Cox•seconded by Chas Forbes. Vfm.V.Mendenhall , Forest Supervisor, of the Santa Barbara National Forest, addressed the Council relative to cooperation by the City of San Luis Obispo with the Forest Service in protecting the l-dater Shed adjacent to the City of San Luis Obispo. Ialatter discussed. It was moved by 0has Forbes and seconded by n.L.Cox that the City of Sari L ^ais Obispo contribute $ 200..0.0 , as full payment for the year 1926,'toward payment of Forest Guards salary for protecting said '.Vater Shed. The motion carried. Resolution No. 196 ( _dew Series ) A Resolution granting to the Southern Pacific Company permission, and the right and privilege, in connection with, and as incident to the operation of its steam Railway for the transportation of passengers and freight, to co: stru It at grade, maintain and operate one additional track across Osos Street in the City of San Luis Obispo, and three additional tracks aeross High Street in said City, parallel to the present tracks maintained by grantee across said streets, was introduced and adopted on motion of C.1u.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes by the following vote: Ayes : C.I;I.Carpenter,John Chapek,H.F.Cox, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer. Claims against the City for the month of Iviay were ordered paid subject to the . aeproval of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by John Chapek, Resolution Ado. 197 ( New Series ) A Resolution Ordering certain work on a portidn of Buchon Street as described in Resolution of Intention No, 195 ( New Series )._of the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, was introduced and Adopted by the following vote: Ayes : C..-.Carpenter, John Chapek,H.i.Cox, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer. Noes : fone. Absent : None. Matters in connection with the proposed improvement of Llill and Palm Street were continued.
