City Council met in adjourned session - Vice president of the Council
Chas Forbes presiding.

The application of C.H.Reed Co for permit to hang a wooden sign ( 10" z 8 ' )
at 857 I,Ionterey Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for
report on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek.
The application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation V 117
for permit to set 3 - 35 ft poles and install 2 anchors on North Broad Street to serve
Floyd Cook residence was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month of May was received and
ordered filed on motion of C.I:I.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Coxe
In re petition of lionday Club for permit to erect Electric Sims at North
and at South entrance to the City: City Engineer approved plans and specifications.
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety reported favorable and oh his motion seconded by
H.E.Cox the application was granted.
On motion of C.Iei.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox the applications for the
regular quarterly licenses were granted.
This being the date set by the Council for receiving bids for the improvement,
of a portion of Buchon Street by paving, the following is a list of all Bids received,
which were publicly opened and read&

It was moved by C.KE.Carpenter and seconded by H.H.Cox that the Bids be referred to the
Superintendent of Streets and the City attorney; said bids in the meantime to be taken
under advisement . The motion carried.
It was moved by C.1,I.Carpenter and seconded by H.B.Cox that Vice President of
the Council, Chas Forbes, be requested to extend to Mayor 1.P.Sinsheimer , a message of
condolence on account of the death of his l-iothe-r,
It was moved buy C.l.T.Carpenter and seconded by H.E.Coa that the Council -adjourn
out of respect to Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer.
