City Hall, Llonday, August 16th 1926 - 7 :30 P.M.
City Council met in regular session - Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : C.M.Carpenter, John Chapek, H.F,.Cox, Chas Forbes , L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent :: Id one.
The minutes of August 2d and 9th were read and approved as read on motion of
Chas Forbes seconded by C.M.Carpenter.
The following applications for permit to build were granted :
W.D. Stambaugh - Residence Anholm Addn Cost
Sila M. I:laino - Addn Sleeping porch Block 56

The application of A. Bloomberg for permit to hang a board sign 2 x 6 feet at
his premises on Higuera Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety
for report.
The report of the City Clerk for the month of July was received and ordered
filed on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.B.Cox.
A letter received from the Directors of the San Luis Obispo Exposition Park, Incl,
formally offering the Park Site to the City of San Luis Obispo under conditions as set
forth in the said communication, was ordered filed on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by
John Chapek.
D.Muzio..and Carl Pate addressed the Council in support of a petition from the
San Luis Obispo Grocers Association in re license fee for retail peddlers. The matter
was discussed at length with the Council and on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox
the matter was referred to the City Attorney; he to ascertain customary license in other
towns and report to the Council at his early convenience.
Petition of A.M.Pettinger for permit to install a storage tank of 280 gal, capacity
on the Lowe property, corner Osos and Higuera Street, also a gasoline pump, was referred to
the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of Chas Forbes seconded
H. E, Cox.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H..Cox the following applications for
appointment as Chief of Police were reoeived and ordered filed:
B.F.Iartin, San Francisco.; Fred J. Bollimger, 1450 Marsh Street , City San Luis Obispo;
D.F.Mc Kinnon, King City ; C.H.Wheeler, 95 Shakespeare St., Daly City, California, and
T.B.Buffington, Pismo Beach, California.
The applications of Tdrs. Meta Hansen for licenses for Lunch Counter and Soft
Brinks at 686 Higuera Street were granted on favorable report and motion of C.M.Carpenter
seconded by John Chapek.
