The minutes of December 20th and 27th were read and a.iPproved as read on motion
of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox.
Following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of H.E.Coz
seconded by John Chapek:

On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the following applications for
permit to lay sidewalk and curbing was granted:
Vim. Sandercock - 197 ft full width sidewalk on the south side Islay Street between Ilipomo
and Beach Street.
Norman Sandercock - 106 ft full width sidewalk on.the• south side Islay Street between flip
and Beach Street and 95 ft 7 ft park sidewalk and curbing on the west
side Ilipomo Street between Islay and Leff Street.
Sandercock Transfer Company -. 150 ft 7 ft park sidewalk and curbing on the west side Iiipomd
street between Islay and Leff Street.

The application of N. Troy for permit to lay 69 ft of 5 ft park sidewalk on
lower ziguera Street was granted with the provision that the sidewalk be made a six foot
park sidewalk.
The application of C.E.Grider for license for Restaurant at 1619 -Csos Street
was referred to the Conrriiissioner of Public health and Safety for report on motion of
Chas .i`orbes seconded by H.E.Cox , as was also the petition of %.i,:a'inini for transfer aff
license for Soft Drinks and Cigars Sideline togJ.il.Chiari.
On ;:Potion of h.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the following applications for
permit to co-miect with the City Sewer were granted:
J._.Logan - Archer Street between Pismo and Buchon and on Archer between Pismo & Pacific
F.'rl.I:ic Connell - Woodbridge Street between 3road and Story Street.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month of I;ovember and those of the
City Collector and Police Judge for the month of December were received and ordered filed
on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.F,.Cox.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded byrI.E.Cox the.following :,Merchandise Bonds
were ordered cancelled- the principals in each case having fulfilled'obligations under said
bonds , and the sureties were discharged.

Claims against the City for the month of December were ordered paid subject to
the a_rproval of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of Chas Forbes seconded
b_y H.E.Cox.
Applications for the regular quarterly licenses were granted on motion of
C.Li.Carpenter seconded by Ch ----s Forbes.
On .favorable report and motion of n.E.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes the petition
Of C.I:iaddalena et al for a Street light on Pacific Street between Beach and Carmel Street
JJas granted.
Application of Western Auto Supply Co for p� r: .,Fit to place sign ; Foster and
Kleiser Compan.* for permit to erect sign boards and matter of Deed of Chris Anholm for Stree
right of way were continued.
This being the time and place fixed for hearing protests in the matter of the
Improvement of Buchon Street and ieiill, Santa Hosa, Peach and Toro - treets respectively,as
per Resolutions of Intention Nos. 195 and 199 ( jfew : eries ) , this matter was now taken up
