some alleged defective sidewalk. Following discussion and assurance by the Attorney of
Southwest Paving Company that the alleged defect would be corrected as soon as possible,
I,ir. Belloni's objection was withdrawn.
:esolution Ido. 210 ( New Series ), Approving the Assessment for the improvement
of a portion of Buchon Street in the City of San Luis Obispo was introduced and adopted by
the following vote on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox.

Noes . L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
Resolution Ido. 211 ( New Series } A =esolution approving the Assessment for the
improvement of certain portions of Llill, Santa Rosa,Feach and Toro Streets in the City of
San Luis Obispo was introduced and adopted on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox by
the following vote:
Ayes : C.Id.Carpenter, John Chapek, HT.E.Cox, Ch--s Forbes.
Noes : L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
There was discussion relative to a proposed traffic ordinance.
On motion of C.I•JI.Carpenter seconded by John Chapek :Mayor L.F:Sinsheimer and the
City Attorney were to arrange terms of settlement with tii.J.Tobin for balance due on
Sewer Contract.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by John Chapek the meeting adjourned to Ivfond
January 10th at 7:30 P.I:I.

Merchandise Bonds of Page Cash Store ( H.H. Page),Surety I;Irs. IuI.S.Page, and
Welch Bros ( J.A. & C.W.Welch), Surety H.A.Griffith and Stanley K. Watkins were approved
and the Sureties accepted on motion of C.IJ.Carrenter seconded by.H.E.Coa.
Applications of Fielch Bros and Page Cash Store for license for Cigars Sideline
at 1638 Osos Street and 420 High Street, respectively, were referred to the Commissioner of
Public Health and Safety for report on motion of H.L.Cox seconded by C,M.Carpenter.
Petition of Dr. P.A.Iviullikin for permit to remove an electric sign from 845
Higuera Street to 990 Monterey Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and
Safety for report on motion of H.E.Cox.seconded by C.I :I.Carpenter, as was also the petition
of the Methodist Church for permit to install a gasoline storage tank of 120 gallon capaci
with pump on the Church property corner Morro and Pacific Streets.
Petition of W.3.1vioses for transfer of license for I ise ( Sewing I.-Iachines) at
1023 Morro Street to 1-Villis H.Chase ti^ras granted on motion of C.I�'.Carpenter seconded by
H.E.Cox.
On motion duly..seconded and carried the application of W.H.Broudhurst for
permit to connect with the City Sewer on Sycamore Street between Santa Rosa and Osos Street
was granted.
On motion of C.1rI.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox it was ordered that the Policy

with the State Compensation Insurance Fund be renewed.
Communication from the San Luis Obispo County IvTedical Society ordered filed.
The report of Commissioner Ch�:s Forbes and City Attorney M.A.Fitzgerald relative
to certain changes in street line on lower Higuera Street was received and ordered filed on
motion of C.I :I.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox.
On motion of C..'A.Carpenter seconded by H.r.Cox a " Map of Yoakum Poultry Units'
was received and placed on file, subject to further action of the Council at the next meeting.
The application of C.F.Greider for license for Restaurant at 1819 Osos Street
was granted on favorable report and motion of C.H.Carpenter seconded by R.R.Cox, as was also
the petition of A.Ialainini for transfer of license for Soft Drinks and Cigars Sideline at
1019 -23 Court Street to J.N.Chiari.
On favorable report and motion of C.Li.Carpenter seconded by H.L.Cox the follow-
ing applications of Foster & Kleiser Company for permit to place Bill Boards were granted:
1 - 25 ft panel Marsh Street between Broad and Darden Street Block 86
4 - 25 ft panels Broad St between Sta Barbara Ave and Chorro Street Lot 25 Blk 3 I.Ic Bride Tr.
2 - 25 ft panels Higuera Street between Morro and Osos Streets Block 104.
The application of the Western Auto Supply Company for permit to place a sign
on top of the Iclathews & Carpenter building at corner I,lorro and Higuera Streets was granted
on favorable report and motion of H.B.Cox seconded by u.E*Carpenter.
On motion of C.E-I.Carpenter seconded by H.?.Cox the meeting adjourned.
