On motion of HT.F.Cox seconded by C.i:i.Carpenter the following applications for
permit to build viere granted

The reports of the City Clerk , City Treasurer' and round isiaster for the month
of December were received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.B.Cox.
Letter from F.S.1:1c Ginnis , Passenger Traffic Idanager of the Southern 'Pacific
Company , received and ordered filed.
Petition of ::.L.Dennis for transfer of license for i:Idse ( Confect,Soft Drinks,
' etc. ) at 740 Higuera Street to Dollie Ie Keen was granted on motion of C.I.i. Carpenter
seconded by Chas Forbes.
A.I:iap of " Yoak-um Poultry units" , a subdivision adjacent to the City of
San Luis Obispo, was approved.as presented on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C.- .Carpent r.
The - matter of a change in Street line on lower Higuera Street was referred to
Commissioner of Finance and Revenue to further negotiate with property owners.
The question of the paving of Palm and other streets was under consideration.
The plans as now adopted.. provide_. for paving from curb to curb. It was suF-gested that
the .full width pavement be eliminated •, on Palm Street from Iorth Broad Street to,Nipomo
Street ,. on ITipomo .Street .:.:franl _Palz�- Street to Rlonterey. Street and on Dana Street
nd,a_twenty four-br thirty foot= strip of pavement be ..constructed in the center of
the.street. The matter was discussed and on motion of C.Ii.Carpenter seconded by
Chas. Forbes the City Clerk was directed to notify property oviners fronting on the above
1 mentioned streets to appear at the Council meeting 1onday, January 31st. to express their
views as to the proposed paving.

On motion_ of Chas Forbes seconded byC.I:i.Carps nter it was ordered that a warrant
in the amount of 5'' 625.00 be drawn in favor of W.J.Tobin, Sewer Contractor, as a compromise
and full settlement of any.and all claim against the City of San Luis Obispo for Server
contract work.
