City Council met in regular session = I:iayor L.F.Sir_sheimer presiding.
Present : John Chapek, H.E.Cox, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : C.M.Carpenter.
The minutes of January 17th 24th and 31st were read and approved as corrected
on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox.
On motion of H.3.0ox seconded by John Chapek the following applications for
permit to build were,granted:

on notion of H.E.Cox seconded by Ch-:-.s Forbes.
It was moved by H.E.Cox and seconded by Chas Forbes that the following sewer
connections be granted:
L.hi.Bowlus - Dana Street between Nipomo Street and Stenner Creek.
- High Street between Carmel Street and High Street.
Applications of Tuargaret Davis for license for Lodging House at 985 Chorro Stteet
the petition of I:trs. L.B.Gale for transfer of license for lodging House at 143 Santa Brabarul
Livenue to L.E.1 ilcox and the peetition o.L da L.Rockvrell for permit to h�ig a board sign at
1015 1dorro Street were referred to the Co missioner of Public Health and Safety for report
on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek.

The reports of the City Collector and Police Judge for the month of January
ere received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by John Chapeke

Co of California t:as ordered cancelled and certified check ordered returned.

In re straightening Street line on Lower Higuera Street: Commissioner of
Finance and Revenue reported relative to negotiations had with property owners. It was
moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by H.E. Cox that the City accept the offer of the three
property owners and purchase the desired property for the following amounts. -
