The application, of Flora Swanson for permit to build a residence and garage on
part of lot 6 block 124 tiur-ray and Church Addition at a cost of 2,550.00 was granted on
motion of H -E-Cox seconded by John. Chapek.
lnplication of I:irs. i.iyrtle Davis for permit to build a garage on lot 2 Flock
114 I:urray and Church Addition at a cost of k 75.00 r:as laid over to the next Meeting.
The applications of ii.':r.Cliddings for license for .idse ( Lunch, Soft Drinks etc)
at 842 I;iguera Street , and of Mrs, Jennie Silveria and i.irs l;iae Umbertis for license for
Spanish Cafe at 995 Higuera Street were referred to the Co:xiiissior_er of Public Health and
Safety for retort on notion of ;has Forbes seconded by H.F.Cox.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.EE.Cox the following applications for
permit to lay sidewalk and curbing !r-sere granted:
it.D.Squire - 50 ft of 5 ft park sidewalk, curbing and gutter on the west side Broad Street
between Islay and Leff Street.
J.J.Andre - 'o recess curb of sidewalk for a distance of 12 ft for driveway, north side
Higuera Street west of i;ipomo 2treet, Block 61.
s_r_plication of Foster E: Eleiser Company for permit to reconstruct a bill board
on the east side harsh Street 1c,0 ft north of 21road Street was referred to the Commissioner
of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of Iz.E.Cox seconded by Chas l'orbes,
The application of the Santa..Llaria Gas Company for ?permit to lay 200 ft of
two inch gas mein on Peach Street between kentucky Avenue and Toro :.street was granted on
motion of E.E.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes with the provision that the stork be done under
the supervision of the City EEngineer.
On motion of Chas orbes seconded by H.E.Cox the reports of the City Clerk and
the City Treasurer for the month of February were received and ordered filed.

said sign be removed at the pleasure of the Council.
The applications of Faye L.Prorrn for permit to build a residence and garage on
pert of lot 4 Block 52 and of Y.'.'latanabe for permit to build a Commercial Garage on a
rt of Lot 1 Block 2 H'arford Addition were granted on motion of n.H.Cor_ seconded by
Carpenter.
