The minutes of March 21st. and 28th. and April 4th, were read and approved as

The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek :

On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by C.L.I.Carpenter the application of J.J.Andre
or permit,to lay 60 ft.-full-width sidewalk and curbing -on the north side of Higuera Stree
etween Nipomo:Street. and- Carmel Street was granted.
The following applications for permit to connect with the City Sewer were granted;

W,Lawrenee -,Two connections•on Broad Street between Higuera and-Lonterey Street.

The application of Mrs. Katie Haugh for license for lodging house at 1136

17 deeds Addition were- referred, on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox, to the
ommissigner of Publio- Health and Safety for report to the Council.
On motion of Chas Forbes-seconded by John Chapek the reports of the City Collecior,
lice Judge and Pound Master for the month of March were received and ordered filed. 1
Claims against the City for the month of March were ordered paid, subject.to
of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by

The petitions of.A.E.Ruda for permit to build a temporary Bridge over Stenne r
Creek, and of:F1.0.Cosby for permit to place a sign board at Marsh and Higuera Streets
were continued to the nest meeting.
On favorable report and motion of C,M. Carpenter-seconded by Chas Forbes the
application of Foster and Slaiser Company for jDermit to place a sign board on the.south
side Marsh Street 100 ft north of Broad Street was granted.
On favorable report and motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the
application of Mrs, Jennie Silveria and Mrs, Mae Umbertis for license for Spanish Cafe, at
995 Higuera Street , and of V.W.Giadings for license for Mdse ( Confect, Soft Drinks: Lun
etc ), at 842 Higuera Streer, were granted,
The application of firs, Myrtle Davis for•,.permit to build a garage on-lot 2
Block 114 Murray and Church Addition was granted, on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by
C,M.Carpenter, with the provision that s91d garage.be set back 34 feet from property line,
The matter of an Ordinance relative to soliciting patronage for Hotels was
continued to the next meeting.
Representatives of the State Department of Agriculture, local meat dealers and
others were present in the interest of the proposed meat inspection Ordinance. The City
Attorney presented draft of a proposed ordinance and the matter was discussed at length.
It was moved by C.M,Carpenter and seconded by H.E.Cox that the matter be continued one
week,-- and the City Attorney instructed and directed to.redraft such proposed ordinance,
embodying therein,a provision for the handling offish and Towel, The motion carried.
The following is .a summary , submitted by the City Engineer, of all Bids opened
Larch 28th 1927, for the paving of portions of Palm,Chorro,Morro, North Broad, Nipomo,
Monterey, Osos, Johnson and Dana Streets in the City of San Luis Obispo

of San Luis Obispo awarding the Contract for the work described in Resolution of Intention
No. 214 ( New Series ) to M.J:Bevanda was introduced and adopted on motion of C.- M.Carpenter
seconded by Chas Forbes by the following vote:

On motion of H.E,Cox seconded by C.E.Carpenter it was ordered that the Bonds

Consolidated Charter. Amendment and Bond Election held on the 4th day of April, and the
Council proceeded t,o. canvass the same, and found the following to be the result of the vote

included on the General Municipal Election and Consolidated Charter - Amendment and Bond
Election Ballot, and voted on by.the electors, for the issuance of Bonds for Imhoff Tank,

amount of .$ 25,000.00 for the acquisition of the " Miller and Lug Laguna Property ", each
having received more than the necessary two thirds majority of the-votes cast on said
propositions, be and the same are hereby declared to have carried; that the.prop.osition
of Bonding in the amount of $ 259000.00 for-the acquisition of real property known as

It was moved by John • Chapek and seconded by H.3.0ox that election officers se
ing in precincts within the City-of San Luis Obispo be compensated in the sum of $ 10.00
each for such service ; that those serving,in precincts outside the City of San Luis Obi
but within the San Luis Obispo School District, be compensated in the sum of'$ 6.00 each,
for such service. The motion carried.
It was moved by H.E.Cox and seconded by John Chapek that rental for Me Cabes
Garage and.Reo Sales and Service be allowed at $ 12.00 each Mission Hall , Hersman Hall
and Carpenter Building $ 10.00 each; the four outside precincts 5900 each. The' -.._'
motion carried.
The matter of an Ordinance in re Boulevard Stops was continued.
On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Ohapek the meeting adjourned to Monday,
