City Council met in regular session - idayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : John Chapek, H..Cox, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent . C.LI.Carpenter.
The first order of business was the seating of the City Officers elect, viz:
L.F.Sinsheimer, I:Iu,ror; Chas _ 02 0cS 1= C! _. J.�s =Fo:: 8t, Councilmen ...and Collie I:I. John,
City Clerk. The respective officers subscribed to the required oath and their official
Bonds were presented. On motion of Chas.Forbes seconded by H.r.Cox the'Official Bond o
L.F.Sinsheimer as ?:Mayor was approved. Ivlayor L.F.Sinsheimer approved the of Bonds
of Councilmen Chas Forbes and L•.J.Defosset and of Callie I:I. John as City Clerk and the
Roll of the New Council was called:
Present : Chas Forbes, L.J.Defosset, John Chapek, H.F..Cox, Iviayor L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : Eone.
The minutes of Iaay 2d and 9th were read and approved as read on motion of
H.i.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
H.F,.Cox seconded by John Chapek:
Garden Dairy,Geo.i•.:oerman - Store lot 4 Blk 118 reeds Addn Cost $ 39000000
Hervey P. TTa, -vlor - ,emodeling lots 1 8: 2 Blk 1 Buena Vista Addn 50.00

On motion of H.F,.Cox seconded by John Chapek the following applications for
permit to lay sidewalk and curbing were granted:
R Liarshall - 69 ft curbing & gutter.on the north side Pismo Street between Carmel and
Archer Streets,
George Freitas - 80 ft 5 ft park sidewalk and curbing on the north side Bill Street between
Broad Street and Nipomo Street,
.Lewin - 126 ft full width sidewalk and curbing on the north side Islay Street between
1dorro Street and Osos Street.
On motion duly seconded and carried the following sewer connections were grant
F.B.Gist - Palm Street between Grove and Ida Street
I_irs. O.C.Orr - Islay Street between idipomo and Beach Street
.application of r.A.Lubian for license for Lunch Counter at 846 Palm Street ,
the petition of F.A.LTC Arthur for permit to hang a sign at 1029 Chorro Street , were
ferred , on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes, toc•the Commissioner of Public
alth and Safety for report to the Council.

and Safety, was declared elected CommA gioner of Public Health and Safety.
For Commissioner of Finance and Revenue : There being no nominations made the Poll was
called with the following result:

Chas Forbes having received the majority of votes cast for Commissioner of Finance and
Revenue, was declared elected Commissioner of Finance and Revenue.
For Commissioner of Public !':forks : There being no nominations made the Boll was called
with the following result

For Vice President of the Council No nominations . Roll Call resulted as follows:

Chas Forbes having received the majority of votes cast for Vice President of the Council,
vdas declared elected Vice President of the Council.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.E.Cox the following applications for
appointment to office were received and placed on file: Ernest E. Thompson for Chief
of Police Gene Roberts for Patrolman ;:irs Annie M. Lilley for City Collector; .
A.Iff.Shurragar for City Collector.
The matter of the appointment of Chief Officials was left over to some
later date.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox the Map presented by Mr.2lusher
showing a re subdivision of Block 12 of Phillips Syndicate Addition was approved.
