The applications for the regular quarterly licenses were presented and on.''motioz
duly seconded and carried were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for
report.
The application of 3.2.Jones for permit to remove a building from part of lot 1
ock 27 to a,.part of lots 5 & 6 Block 70 was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by
John Chapek,
Ordinance No. 122 ( New Series ) , An Ordinance regulating Traffic upon, and
e Parking of Vehicles on the Public Streets of the City of San Luis Obispo was read and
motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the same was ordered passed to print by the
ollowing vote:

City Council met in adjourned session - Vice President of the Council
Chas Forbes presiding.
Present : Chas. Forbes, L.J.Defosset, H.E.Cox, John Chapek.
Absent : Iriayor L.F.Sir_sheimer.
On motion of H.E. Cox seconded by John Chapek'::the following applications for
permit to build were granted :

The application of L.J.Strom for permit to build a residence on Lot 6 Block
1 Buena Vista Addition at a cost of N 2,000.00 was granted -with the provision that the
Contractor named therein take a license fpr contracting.
Application of 1I.A.Turner for permit to connect with the City Sewer on
I::onterey Street between Ida and Grove Street was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by
John Chapek.
Applications of the I,Iidland Counties Public Service Corporation Nos. 130 & 131
for permit to d6 certain work on Sycamore Street between Chorroand I_:!orro Streets and on
Upham Street between I�,orro and Chorro Street, respectively , were granted on motion of
H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek.

Application of Henry J.Bowers for permit to place a sign on lot 2 Block 118
Heeds Addition was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to
the Council on notion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek.
Petition received from Harold Anderson and G.Stocklausen for permit to install
a Street Light Standard on Dana Street in front of Harold Andersons residence. Cost and
maintenance of said standard to be borne by petitioners. The petition was granted on
motion of John Chapek seconded by H.E.Cox.
The reports of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer for the month of Iday were
received and ordered filed on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek.
On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the applications of J:.N.:Chiari for
license for Soft Drinks and Cigars,Sideline at 1023 Court Street were referred to the
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report.
Miatter relative to Street Signs referred to the Commissioner. of Public corks
for investigation and report.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the applications for:the regular
quarterly licenses were granted viith the exception of the application.of :Iary Berry, for
license for lodging houseq at 737 Irlonterey Street .
Petition of 4I.H.Porter for permit to construct a Bridge in Block 10 deferred,
pending filing of Plans and Specifications.

On favorable report �of.John Chapek seconded by H.E.Cox the petition of
Chris Anholm for permit to build a Bridge in Anholm Addition was granted.
On -motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek , E.I.I.Payne was granted permit to
cut pavement on 1.7arsh Street between Morro and Chorro Street.
On favorable report and motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox , IvIaddalena
& Negranti were permitted to place a sign on the building at 647 Higuera Street.
The applicatioi? of Lda L.LIc Laughlin for license for lodging house at 143 Santa
Barbara Avenue was granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek.
On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the application of H.U.Ivens for
permit to lay 50 ft of 3 ft park sidewalk, curbing and g9t ter on the south side of Pismo
Street between '.;talker and :archer Streets was granted.
On notion of L.J.Defosset seconded b17- H.3.Cox the City Clerk was directed to
notify J.E.Brown that he had erected a building without a permit therefor, also that the
structure does not comply with Ordinance.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.E..Cox the meeting adjourned.
