The 31st annual Report of the San Luis Obispo-Public Library for the Fiscal
Year ending June 30th 1927 t:ras received and ordered placed on file on motion of Chasorbe
seconded by L.J.Defosset.
The next matter taken up by the Council was the fixing of the lax Levy for the
year 1927- 1928,and the rate for the General Fund.-was;e fixed at 0.85 per one hundred
dollars in valuation,
idembers of the Public 1•ibrary 3oard of Trustees viere present and appealed to the Council
for an increase in the Tax Pate for Library purposes, idTTatter discus:;ed.
It was moved by ?:iayor i.F.Sinsheimer seconded by L.J.Defosset and carried that the rate
for Public Librarypurposes be fired at 0.12 per one hundred dollars in valuation.
It was unanimously agreed that the rate for interest and ? edemption of Donds be fixed
as follows :

salary of $ 175.00 per month , appointment becomning effective September lst. The motion
carried by the following vote:

Chas Forbes stated that he voted aye because of the recommendation of the Commissioner of

employed as uoseman, Janitor and Jailer, and for such other duties as may be required of
him, at a salary of $, 130.00 per month, dating from September 1st. Said appointee to
occupy quarters in
