Present Chas Forbes, H.E.Cox , John Chapek, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent : L.J.Defosset. On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the follozing applications for permit to build were granted: James G.Brooks - Residence Block 120 Murray 8o Church Addn Cost 29500900 C.W.Repnolds - Four Stall Garage Block 93 Cost 350.00 Kurray.C.Hathway — Garage lot .N Phillips Addn Cost 50.00 John gotrlik - Garage Block 28 Cost 40.00 Lawrence Leitner - Garage Block 201 Dallidet Addition Cost 100.00 The petition of b*ph D and Florence Be Watson for permit to remove a small buildin from Block 116 Reeds Addition to part of lots 3 & 6 Block 49 Reeds Addition was referred to the Commissioner of Publio Works for report to the Council. The application of Sigrid Bode for permit to lay 50 ft of 5 ft park sidewalk and curbing on the South side of Pismo Street between Archer and Carmel Street was granted. Application of Moses A. Lubrin for license for Pool Tables, Palm Street , was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council on motion H.E.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes, as was also, the application of Jennings Tent Show for license for Theatrical Tent Show. Application of Midland Counties Public Service Corporation # 140 for permit to do certain work on Higuera Street between Marsh Street and the South City Limits was referred to tl Commissioner of Public Works for report to the Council on motion of John Chapek seconded by as Forbes • Applications of the Santa -Maria Gas Company for permit to replace pipe line on guera Street between French Street and South Street, also to run 6" pipe line on South Street Higuera Street and Broad Street , and cross Broad Street to connect with new gas Holder, referred to the Commissioner of Public works for report on motion of Chas Forbes seconded John Chapek. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of October was received and ordered 0 led on motion duly seconded and carried. The merohnndieing Bond of I.M.Silverman, secured by certified check in the amount 200900 was ordered cancelled and the certified check returned - Mr. Silverman having fulfil quirements under Ordinance. In re application of Mrs. Queenie Warden for exempt license for'solioiting for Sale Merchandise : It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by H.E.Cox that petitioner be ified that inasmuch as sale of articles carried are covered by Interstate Commerce Laws no icense would be required. Matter of payment of claims for the paving of Palm Street vase again laid over. This was date set for h®aring,in accordance with published notice,for the issuance Bonds to cover unpaid assessments for the Palm Street (Joint ) paving project,('Resolution Intention No. 214 ( New Series). On motion of H.E.Cos seconded by Chas 1'orbes the tter was olntinued to Monday, December 5th at 7 :30 P.M. 1 7 1 1
