permit to operate.a Garage at 1121-Broad Street was granted.
The application-"Of B.D.Griffin for permit to place a sandwich kitchen on the west
side Morro Street between Higuera - and Marsh Streets was referred to the'Commissioner of Public
Health and Safety for report on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset.
The petition of Maddalena & Negranti for permit to install a Gas Pump and storage
tank within Garage at 645 Higuera Street was granted with the provision that the work be done
under the supervision of the City Engineer.
On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset the meeting adjourned.

presiding.

The minutes of December 5th and 12th were read and approved as read on motion of
L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox.

Applications for the regular quarterly licenses were received and referred to the
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council on motion duly seconded
and carried.
The petition of F.Marion Smith for permit to construct 250.ft of concrete retaining
wall in creek between Santa Rosa and Osos Street, in accordance with plan submitted and on
file, was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek with the provision that the
work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer,

was granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox.

A.F.Fitzgerald, on the west side of Morro Street between Higuera Street and Marsh Street was
granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox; the said petitioners applications for
license for lunch counter and soft drinks were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health
and Safety for report to the Council.
