City Hall, Monday, December 26th 1927 - 7. :30 P.Me
City Council met in adjourned session - Vice President of the Council Chas iorbes
presiding.
Present : Chas Forbes, L.J.Defosset, H.E.Cox.
Absent John Chapek, Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer..
On motion of H.E.Coa seconded by L.J.Dafesset , Geo W. Lilbern was granted permit to
build an addition to a building in Block 125 Murray & Church Addition at a cost of $ 40.00
The application of B.D.Griffin for license for Cigars Sideline was referred to the
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council on motion of H.E.Cox
seconded by L.J.Defossete
The following petitions for transfer of licenses were granted on motion of
L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox :
Myra WeWoods ( Woods Delicatessen ) Mdse 1131 Garden St to C.J.Stanley
Percy A.Dody Mdes (Used Cars) 352 Higuera St to Miles N. Mathews.
The application of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company fov permit to do c
work on Chorro Street between Marsh Street and Pismo Street , as set forth in application on
file, was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset.
The applications of B.D.Griffin for licenses for Lunch Counter and Soft Drinks ,
Morro Street, were granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Coxt as was also the
applicationsof May Patterson for license for:iodging house-at 143 Santa. Barbara Avenue.
Applications of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation Nos. 141 and 142 for
certain work to be done on Upham Street between Ruth Street and Santa. Rosa Street, and-on
French Road off State Highway, respectively, were granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by
L. J.Defosset.
Applications for the regular quarterly licenses were granted on motion of L.J.Defosset
seconded by H.E.Coxe
Estimate Noel, submitted by the City Engineer for,the work performed under Contract
" Division 8 Sewers ". by w.H.Porter in the amount of $ 1,671922 was laid over for a full
attendance of the Council.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Co$ the meeting adjourned.
