City Council met in adjourned session - Vice President of the Council Chas Forbes
presiding.
Present : Chas Forbes, L.J.Defosset, H.E.Cox.

Petition of A,W.Taylor for permit to lay 36 ft of full width sidewalk and curbing on
south side of Leff Street between Osos and Santa Rosa Street was granted on motion of
.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset.
The petition-of C.A. Fourcade:.for permit to cut sidewalk area down to the official
grade for a distance of 64 ft on the' north side of Leff Street between Osos Street and
Morro Street was granted on motion of H.E. Cox seconded by'L.J.Defosset with the provision
that the work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer.
Application of J.E.Burbank and O.P. Hazard for license for Restaurant at 717 Higuera
Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council
on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset.
On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset the following sewer applicati arcs
were granted:
R.D.Caudill - Lawton Ave. between Woodbridge Street & Mitchell Drive,
Francis J.Rhyne - Pismo Street between Essex St and R.R.Rtw.
A.D.Kinsman - Kentucky Avenue between 1st and 2d Street.
The petition of A.J.Glau for permit to construct a service Station on Lot 1 Block
147 Harford Addition, with 2 - 550 gal underground storage tanks , also to recess curb and
sidewalk for driveway, was received and referred, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.0
to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and power to act.
Reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer for the month of December were received
and ordered filed on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset.
The following Merchandising Bonds were ordered cancelled, the principals therein nam
having fulfilled obligations under said Bonds :
E.Bryce Brown - secured by certified check in the amount of 200.00

On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the petition of A- E.Brooking for
transfer of licenses for Stag Billiard Parlor,.to A.Bolla and Frank Gnesa was granted , as was
also the petition of Fant & Boots for permit to place a Barber Pole at 716 Higuera Street.
:application of i,Ioses A.Lubrin for license for Cigars Sideline at 761 Palm Street was
granted on motion of L.J.Defoseet seconded by H.E.Cox.
