The minutes of April 2d and 9th were read and approved as read on motion of ° Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox. The following applications for permit to build were granted with- therprovision that the builders named therein, viz: E.F.Wichtendahl and Logan Bros. take licenses ^for contracting .F.';iichtendahl_- Residence pt lot 1 Block 1 Anholm Tract Cost 11800100 eo. Biddle - Double Garage pt lot 11 Block 134 Phillips Addn Cost 250.00 icholas E. Hirsch - Double Garage lot 4 Block 1 Buena Vista >ddn Cost 100000 The application of C.D.Stowe for permit to build a Service Station on a part of lock 150 Harford Addition, junction of Higuera and French Streets, at a cost of $ 19500.00 granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes with the provision that the work be one under the supervision of the City Engineer. On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset the following applications for permit o connect with the City Sewer were granted: .Winter - Montalban Street between Santa Rosa Street and Toro Street. .L.Gaxiola - Francis Avenue between Broad Street and Victoria Avenue. The Merchandising Bond of Ella Randolph, Surety F.W.Trumhle, was referred to the ommissioner of Finance and Revenue for report to the Council on motion of Z.J.Defosset second H..,.Cox. The i'derchandising Bond of C.T.Farrar , Surety Sun Indemnity Company of New York, s approved and the Surety aeeepted on motion of Chas Vorbes seconded by L.J.Defosset. The petition of W.L.-Ramage for the cancellation of a certain tax sale on Lots 3 & 4 Block 4 WeIlls Addition assessed in the name of Llaurice Breese, for the year 1925- 1926, was received and referred to the Commissioner of Finance and Revenue for investigation and report to the Council,( G 1 11 L 1 31. 1 Property owners appeared in the interest of the improvement of Upper I`ionterey Strew The dity Engineer presented a tenta%ve plan of the proposed improvement and the matter was discussed. Gibson and A.F.Parsons he named as an advisor; Board to consult with L.I,J.Pdoore;City Engineer, in regard to the proposed plan of improvement of U;-,per I:ionterey Street, The motion carried. The applications of W.J.Charters for Sewer connection and of S.V.47right for Water "service for Mary A.O'Reilly, were laid over to the next meeting on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox. It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by L.J.Defosset that Mayor L.F.Sinsheime3 ake up the matter of the purchase by the City of a certain parcel of property at the junction I,iurray Avenue and Monterey Street. The motion carried. W.B.Burch presented Plans, Profiles and Specifications for the proposed Outfall Sewer line and Sewage Disposal Plant and discussed the proposed improvement with the Council: IIt was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by John Chapek that the plans and specifications be adopted. The motion carried. It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by John Chapek that the City Clerk advertise for sealed bids for the construction of an Outfall Sevier line and Sewage Disposal Plant in accordance with the plans and specifications adopted. Bids to be received up to 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the 14th day of i.-ay 1928. The motion carried. On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded byChas Forbes, T.J.Carletoh was granted licens, for' Skating Rink at the ';linter Garden, Kaiser Building. 1 On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the application of C.T.Farrar for license for Lidse(CPotato Chips ) was granted. The application of i,I.F.Pinol for license for Lodging House at 834 Palm Street, and Restaurant at 846 Palm Street were granted on fatrorable report and motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by Chas Forbes. The claim of A.E.Llallagh for refund of Tax paid in the amount of 2070 part of , Lot F Block 138 Phillips Addition was granted , on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox. Petition of F.D.Silvia et al,.for the improvement of Kentucky and Second Streets was laid over for one week. The petitions of the Southern Pacific Company and of Pete Bachino for the closing of a portion of Rachel Street was discussed and referred to the Commissioner of Finance and Revenue for investigation and report to'the Council on motion of John Chapek seconded by - L.J.Defosset. A Lisp of Lit. Pleasanton Square No. 2 was presented by Lir. Shaeffer. After discussion it was moved by H.E.Cox and seconded by L.J.Defosset that the Map of the said subdivision be accepted as presented to the Council, with the provision that the owner give to the City of San Luis O$ispo rights of way for public utility lines.
