On motion of H.E'.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset the Commissioner of Supplies was
authorized to purchase a Ford Touring Car for the Police Department at a cost of $ 546.00
The City - Engineer presented Diagram of Assessment District for Lower Higuera Street
Improvement ; he also made a verbal report in connection with the proposed Upper ]Monterey Utre(
Improvement . Both matters were left over to the next meeting.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by H.E.Cox the meeting adjourned,

ril were received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by L.J.Defosset.

Claims against the Cityfor the month of April were ordered paid subject to the

On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by Chas Forbes the petition of FI.D.Adriance for
permit to hang an Electric Sign at 766 Higuera Street was granted with the usual provisions.
The report of the Committee appointed by Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer on April 23d. in the
matter of the proposed improvement of Upper 1.:onterey Street from its intersection with Toro
Street northerly to the City -limits, was received and on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by
Chas Forbes the same was ordered filed with other data in connection therewith.
Idatters in connection with the_:proposed widening etc., of Upper Lonterey Street were
discussed and the City Engineer Sias directed to provide the Council with a Tdap!-sh6T4tng the
respective features proposed to be included in the proposed improvement.
The Diagram and Assessment Hap for Lower Higuera Street Improvement was presented
by the City Engineer.
Resolution No. 252 ( New Series ) , A Resolution approving Diagram of Assessment
District for the Improvement of portions of Higuera, Archer, Pacific, Walker and Osos Streets,
in the City of San Luis Obispo, was introduced and adopted on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by
-E.Cox by the follozi ng vote :
Ayes : Chas Forbes, L.J.Defosset, H.E.Cox, John Chapek, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Noes : Prone.
Absent : None.
It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by John Chapek that the I:iayor appoint a
Committee of three or more to look into the advisability of a Zoning Ordinance and its application
to the City of San Luis Obispo.
The motion carried.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by L.J.Defosset the meeting adjourned to ieionday,
