Present : Chas Forbes, L.J.Defosset ,.H.E.cox, John Chapek, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent :.None. The meeting was called-for the purpose of considering Bids submitted on the 14th day of Iviay for the construction of a Disposal Plant and outfall line. Engineer I.B.Burch made report and the matter. was discus-.ed. Fesolution Ido. 253 ( New Series ) Authorizing and directing the Tlayor of the City of San Luis Obispo to make application to the $tate:Board of Health for a permit to construct a Harding`e Clarifier and Sludge Digestion Tank was adopted,on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox, by the following vote: Ayes : Chas Forbes, L.J.Defosset, H.E.Cox, John Chapek, L.F.Sinsheimer. I?oes : None, Absent : None. A discussion followed relative to the cost and merits of concrete sewer pipe in comparison with vitrified sewer pipe and it was finally decided, without motion , to.:call for new Bids under specifications to be submitted by Engineer.VI.B.Burch , showing both vitrified and concrete pipe. It appearing that the Bid of llm. Zane , of Paso nobles, was the lowest and best Bid of all Bids received for the construction of a Disposal Plant consisting of the following items) as specified in the.Plans and Specifications, to wit: ITM 4. For a11.8 inch cast iron pipe, class B or equal, including all necessary tees, crosses and elbows; in place in accordancewith the plans and specifications, the sum of Two Dollars eight cents ( 6 2.08 ),per linear foot. ITEI 5. For all 8 inch gates in place, in accordance with the.plans and specifications, the sum of Thirty Four Dollars ninety cents ( $ 34,90 ) each. ITIN 6. For all 6 inch gates in place, in accordance with the plans and specifications, the sum of Eighteen Dollars fifty eight cents ( $ 18.58 ) each. ITEM 7. For all 6 inch east iron pipe in place, class B or equal, including all necessary � tees, crosses and elbows, in place, in accordance with the plans and specifications, the sum of One Dollar Sixty Eight cents ( $ 1.68 ) per linear foot. ITEM 10. For constructing Sludge Digester Tank complete, ready for use in accordance with the) plans and specifications, the sum of Five Thousand Eight Hundred nifty Eight Dollars($ 5,858.001 Shown on sheet 5 of plp.ns. I.Tr'TS_12. For constructing Hardinge Clarifier, complete, ready for use in accordance with the plans and specifications, including furnishing one American 4 inch non clogging.Pump as specifi d, the snm of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Two Dollars ( 70522.00 ). Shown on sheet 10 of plans. 34 14. For constructing Sludge Drying Beds, complete, ready for use in accordance with the ans and specifications,. the sum of Three eight tenth cents ( 0.038 ) per square foot, own on sheets 6 -9 and 12 of plans. It was moved by H.3.Cox and seconded by Chas Forbes that lim. Lane be awarded the contract for the construction of a Plant covered by the above mentioned items at the prices hereinabove set forth. The motion carried. It was moved by John Chapek and seconded by Chas Forbes that all other Bids submitt .or Disposal Plant and Outfall Line be rejected that the certified checks accompanying the ids pf the unsuccessful bidders be returned. The motion carried. On motion of Ch Forbes seconded by L.J.Defosset the meeting adjourned, oved this ,fj� day of �,e/ 1928. Mayor City Clerk
