City Council met in regular session - Layor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : Chas Forbes , L.J.Defosset, ;.E.Cox, John Chapek, L._P.Sinsheimer.

The minutes of June 17th and 24th were read and approved as read on motion of
Chas Forbes seconded by L.J.Defosset.
On motion_ of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the following applications for permit to
build were granted :

Chorro Street were referred to the Commissioner of- Public Health and safety for investigation
and report to the Council on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by Chas = 'orbes.
The application of =rank ? Feller for permit to lay 100 ft of 5 ft park sidewalk and
curbing on the North side of Church Ztreet between Broad Street and _dipoa-10 Street :,�Tas granted
on motion of H.:,.Cor_ seconded by L.J.Defosset with the provision that gutter be included
with the curb.

The petition of Cline's Electric Shop for permit to hang an Electric Sign iii front of-
the :._nd,,rscn otel Grill, I:Iorro Street, was referred to the Commissioner of Public ealth and
Safety for report to the Council on motion of H-_.'-Cox seconded by Chas = 'orbes.
The petition of the ?_iwanis Club for permit to paint a sign " San i:uis Obispo" on the
roof of the Ford Garage as an aid to hviators was granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded
by Chas Forbes.
A communication from the League of California 1 :Iunicipaii ties relative to an ..:Act
passed by the last Legislature, imposing a liability on all Idunicipalities for damages resulti:
from the negligent operation by ' -City officers, employees or agents,of -a 1:1Iotor Vehicle, was
read. on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by Chas Forbes the comuunication was ordered file
and the matter referred to 1;?ayor L.F.Sinsheimer for further investigation. City Clerk to
address the League relative thereto.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by Chas Forbes a communication signed by firs. Amos
and '.:rs. E.J.Ponee relative to the annoyance caused by-crowing roosters was ordered filed.
The report of the City Clerk for the month of I:iay and those of the City Collector:and
Police Judge for the month of June were received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes
seconded by John Chapek.
Claims-;.against the City for the month of June were ordered paid subject to the approval
of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by John Chapek.
Ordinance IIo. 136 (New Series) An Ordinance transferring a part of North Broad Street
in the City of San Luis Obispo, to the County of San Luis Obispo for certain purposes was
finally passed, on motion of John Chapek seconded by�L.J.Defosset by the following vote:
