The application of Robert Oxnard for license for !Mse ( Soft Drinks, Lunch etc.)
at 796 Higuera Street, was granted on r .,lotion of L.J.Defosset seconded by Chas Forbes.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by-John Chapek the application of Foley & Burk,
by L.G.Chapman, for lice? se for Carnival, for the week of July 23d to 27th was denied.
City Clerk requested to again address the Southern Pacific Company relative to the
matter of the opening of Kentucky Street grade crossing.
This being the time and place fixed by the Council for- hearing of protests in the
matter of. the Improvement of Broad Street from Higuera Street to'-the City Limits,( Resolution
of Intention Ito. 284 (New Series), the matter was now taken up by the Council. Ido written
or verbal protests were received.
esolution ho. 286 ( i;ew Series ) A Resolution ordering certain work on certain
portions of Broad an: Leff Streets and certain rights of ;,ray as described in :; esolution of
Intention No. 284 ( Idew Series ) of the Council of the City of San Luis Ohispo, was introduced
and adopted on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox by the following vote:
Ayes : Chas Forbes, L.J.Defosset, H.E.Cbx, John Chapek, L.F.�iindheimer.
Noes : None.
Absent : None.
The City :attorney was directed to loot- into proceedings of issuing Bonds voted at the
General i.iunicipal Election held in the City of San Luis Obispo on the 1st day of April 1929.
In re Ida and I:_arsh Street Bridge: On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by
John Chapek the City Engineer and Warren B. Burch were requested and directed to furnish the
Council with a sketch or plan of the proposed Bridge.
It was moved by L•.J.Jefosset and seconded by John Chapek that the position of Police
Olficer, held by Tom Harris, be declared vacant, on and after July 15th. that the officer
be granted two Free :s vacation with pay - dating July 1st to July 15th. The motion carried.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by ?•.J.Defosset the meeting adjourned to :.:onday,
July 8th 1929, at 7 :30 P.I :ii.
