On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek the following applications for permit to build were granted: A.H.Bibler - = _esidence c± Garage lot 1 Block 8 Anholm Addition Cost ; 59163.00 Ubl. P. Kuhl - Garage w Store Room lot 6 Block 123 ':Iurray & Church Addn Cost 115.00 On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by L.J.Defosset the application of Stratton Smith for permit to build a Commercial Garage on lot 32 Block 61 at a Cost of 1,000.00 was granted, An application was received from Catherine .,:ine:ian for permit to build a Garage 18 x 5E feet in Block 99 at a Cost of $ 500.00 said garage to be constructed of corrugated iron - iroz posts and concrete floor: I:, tter discussed. It was moved by H.E.Cox and seconded by John Chapek that the application be granted with the provision that construction be Hollow Tile r Brick, or stme fire Proof material. The motion carried, The application of Frank V. Serpa for parnit to build a Double Garage on a part of Lot 6 Block 9 at a Cost of 325.00 was granted on motion of H.2.Cox seconded by John Chapek Vith the provision that the building be set approximately 20 ft back from property line. The motion carried. The application of hlrs Irene A, Ford for license for Lunch Room at 1230 Osos Street was referred to the Co;a:iissioner of Public health and s=afety for report to the Council on moti of H.E'.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes. On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the application of i:1irs Irene A. Ford for license for Lunch Counter at 1230 Osos Street was granted. The application of ?:.rs Yate Meyer for permit to install stub sewer connection on Garden Street between Pacific Street and Pismo Street was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset. :, C 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 223 The application of the ?:Lay Tag :'lest. Caligaris for permit to hang an ,,'lectric Sign at the Venezia Garden Restau rant at 676 Higuera Street. The petition of the Shell Oil Company for permit to replace Gasoline Storage Tanks at Service Station in Block 23 in accordance with petition on file was granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by Chas Forbes. The petition of Ina Laird et al. for the improvement of Pismo Street between Broad Street and Garden Street by laying paving and sidewalk and curbs was received, and on motion of H.E.Cbx seconded by Chas Forbes the same was referred to the City Engineer for checking and report to the Council. The report of the Police Judge for the month of ?ay was received and ordered filed on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by Chas Forbes. The reports of the City Clerk for the .months of .-,:-arch and A-pril 1930 were received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by L.J.Defosset. Claims against the City for the nonth of l ;ray ore ordered paid subject to the _. approval of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by L:J.Def osset. I License 72, 1737 issued to Abrams and Simms, :architects, b 5.00, for the January quarter was ordered cancelled on motion of L.J.Lefosset seconded by H.E.Cox. The application of Lirs. Dora V. Btandy for permit to hang a sign at 728 idarsh Street was again laid over. The application of the Harmony Valley Creamery Association for permit to install one 550 gallon underground gasoline storage tank at the Creamery Plant in Block 60 was granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek with the provision that the work be done under the supervision of the City engineer and in accordance with rules and regulations of the Board of Fire tindert,rriters. The application of ".rs. L.G.Adkins for permit to place an Awning over entrance to St James Hotel, 883 ; :Ionterey Street, was granted on motion of L.J.Defoseet seconded by John Chapek.
