Chas Forbes, L.J.Defosset, H. .Cox , John Chapek, L.F.Sinsheimer. James Piper, Contractor re"ested permit to repair sidewalk and build box 3T x 5' to hold • Absent : None. The minutes of September 15th., 22nd. and 29th. were read and approved as read on motion of Chas -orbes seconded by L.J.Defosset. The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of P.B.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes R.R._liller - residence & Garage Lot 18 Block 3 Caudill Tract Cost ' 4,200.00 ' K.J.Hanak - residence & Garage Lot 5 Block 5 bionterey Heights Cost 4,500.00 Z J.Hanak - residence Lots 40 and 41 Lawrence Tract Cost 4,000.00 Loyd Diener - Residence & Garage Lot .6 Block 1 Caudill Tract Cost 41500.00 The above are located outside City Limits. ) Ers. Yazza for permit to move a two room building from Lot 18 Block 15 Buena Vista addition to Lot 13 Block 15 Buena Vista addition, and add two rooms theretc was referred to the Commissioner of Public `,;corks fur investigation and report to the Council on motion of John Chapek seconded by L.J.Defosset. The application of :.rs. N.L.Tate for license for Lunch Counter at 1208 Peach street tivas referred to the Co:,-lissioner of Public health and Safety for report to the ,ouncil on motion of H.E.CoX seconded by JoL2n Chapek. The application of _. I:iazza for permit to connect with Stub Sewer on Pacific Street between "rcher Street and Carmel Street was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by Chas Forbe while action on the application of the said petitioner for permit to cirnzect rjith Sewer on Baskin Street between Rachel Street and Bushnell Street was held, pending action on the applicat ion for removal of house as hereinabove set cut. The anpl4,,ation of the Union oil Company fur permit to replace a deteriorated `elephone pole on ?Monterey Street between Park Street and Grove Street was granted, on motion f H.H.Cox seconded by Chas Forbes, with the provision that new pole be placed in same position. The I,ierchandising Bond of " White Sei.iing I;Iachine Comppny'T, Surety, Rational Surety Company, was presented and on�.•_motion of Chas Forbes seconded by L.J.Defosset the Surety was accented and the Bond approved. . v In a communication the General Petroleum Company 4dvised that arrangements had been made v:ith a local contractor to remove the Canopy and Pump Island located in front of Anders on Is Grocery Store, 3016 Santa osa Street. In connection with this matter, James Piper, Contractor re"ested permit to repair sidewalk and build box 3T x 5' to hold • Oil Cars. On motion duly seconded and carried the ap-lication was granted with the provision that said box be placed inside property line. The. petition of Chamber of Commerce, by Grace -E. ::rata, Secretary, for permit to place a sign at 1028 Chorro Street was referred to the Coirvnissioner of Public Health and Safet; for report to the Council on motion of Chas _Forbes seconded by r.:.Cox. A letter from the League of California •,unicipalities giving notice of Annual Con- ference to be held in the City of Long Beach was read and ordered filed. The reports of the City Collector and Police Judge for the month of September 1950, and the report of the City Treasurer for the month ending August 31st. 1950, were received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by John Chapek. . v / ,5 i J Claims against the City for the month of September were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by John Chapek. A petition was received from C.D.Stowe et.al., relative to the improvement of Hillcrest Place and a portion of i:'ill Street, ?;urray Street and Park Street. On .Notion of ?.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek the ,matter.was referred to the City Engineer for report to the Council. In �e license for Sign Painters : C. E.Freeman and , --va Rockvrell appeared and the matter was discussed. On motion of .L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the City ._ttorney v:!as directed to prepare an amend3ent to Ordinance. This being the time and place fixed for Hearing on unpaid assessments and the issuance of Bonds to cover said unpaid assessments for the improvement of Santa Rosa.:-Fig and Stenner Streets, Hesolution of Intention No. 311 ( Tlew Series j, the matter Bias now taken. up by the Council. The City. Engineer filed report on the payment of one cent ( .01 ) assessments - totaling ?dine Cents ( .09 ) which had been paid subsequent to the filing of the list of unpaid :assessments. Resolution No. 336 ( Iuew Series.), A Resolution relating tot he issuance of improve- ment Bonds of the City of San Luis Obispo, pursuant to Resolution of Intention _;o. 311 ( liew Series ), determining the amount of unpaid assessments, prescribing the denominations of such Bonds, and providing for their issuance and delivery., was introduced and. adopted on motion of John Chapek seconded by L.J.Defosset by the following vote: Ayes : Chas Forbes, L.J.�efosset, H.E.Cox, John Chapek, L.F.Sinsheimer. -,;oes : Uone.
