Sinsheimer Absent : None The minutes of January 5th and 12th were read and approved as read on motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by E. E. Cox. The application of Garrett Bowen for pe.rmit to build a residence and double garage, Block 6, Anholm Addition, was granted on motion of fi. E. Cox seconded by John Chapek. On - lotion of Chas. Forbes seconded by John Chapek the application of Joe Robasciotti for license for Cigar Store at 1226 Osos Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council. A petition was received from the Union Gil Company of California for permit to recess curb -...of sidewalk on Essex Street at laonterey Street for approach to Service Station. Petition submitted in lieu of the petition filed under date of December 29th, 1930. matter discussed. It was moved by n. E.,Cox that the petition be granted with the provision that the work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. The motion lost in the lack of a second. After further discussion it was moved by H. E. Cox seconded by L. J. In re application of Clarence Hubell for permit to build a_.garage on Lot 11, Block 4,I Anholm Addition: Ifiatter discussed and it was moved by h. E. Cox seconded by Chas. Forbes that the application be granted with the provision that the garage be attached to the residence The application of the Valley Electric Company for permit to hang a horizantal double faced electric sign for the Pacific Greyhound Stage Depot at laonterey Street and Essex Street was granted on motion of L. J. Defosset seconded by Chas. Forbes with the provision that the work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer and in accordance with the provisions of the existing ordinance. The petition of ?. S. Shatford for the establishment of grade on Lizzie Street between Johnson Avenue and Fixiline Street was again taken up. City Engineer presented profile. 'Matter discussed and laid over until the next meeting of the Council for more detailed report by the City Engineer. Dr. H. A. Gallup, representing the San Luis Obispo County P:?edical Society, appeared before the Council and requested that the Doctors of the City be granted parking space for their private cars in front of their respective offices. The Doctor :;as requested to send a communication to the City Council relative to same. The petition of Zi C. Figge, et al., relative to connecting proposed sewer for California Parr, and Arlington Subdivisions with the :gain public sewer of the City of San Luis Obispo was continued to the next meeting. The matter of licensing the business of selling at wholesale and retail, commodities brought in by trucks from outside territory, was discussed and on motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by L. J. Defosset the matter was made a special order of business for the next meeting of the Council. On motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by H. E.
