Resolution of Intention No. 346 (New Series), A Resolution of the Council of the
City of San Luis Obispo declaring its intention to improve a portion of Pacific Street:
Creating an assessment district to pay the costs and expenses of such work, and determining
that Serial Bonds shall be issued to represent unpaid assessments thereon and fixing the
date of Hearing in accordance with said Resolution of Intention as I;Ionday, the 2nd day of
I.-larch, 1931, was introduced and adopted on motion of H. E. Cox seconded by John Chapek by
the following vote:

The application of J. H. Logan for permit to move building from lot 2 block 97
ission vineyard Tract was referred to the Commissioner of Public '!,' -orks with power to act on
motion of L. J. Defosset seconded by Chas. Forbes.
The application of u. C. Knight for permit to lay 50 feet of three foot park side-
walk and curbing on the north side of 1loodbridge Street between Broad Street and Lawton
Street, lot 7 block 4, Norton _addition, was referred to the City Engineer, who was
reYuested to submit a profile showing proposed street grades for the Norton Addition.
The application of Firs. John Barry for license for Fortune Teller at 1190
Monterey Street; the application of H. A. Thomas for license for Cigar Sideline at
1208 Peach Street, and the application of Tony Chaves for licenses for Soft Drinks,
Cigar Sideline and Pool Tables at 660 Higuera Street, were referred to the Commissioner
of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council on motion of H. E. Cox seconded by
Chas. Forbes.
The petition of Ii. L. Tate for transfer of license for I,Ierchandise etc., at
1208 Peach Street to H. A. Thomas was granted on motion of L. J. Defosset seconded by
John Chapek.
The I:Ierchandising Bond of G. V,% Davidson, Surety, J. W. Herbert, was received
and on motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by L. J. Defosset the Surety was accepted and the
bond apr..roved.
Application of Agnes 7.1. Lee for pe.r :ait to install three stub sewer connections
on Pacific Street between Idipomo Street and Beach Street was granted on motion of H. E.
Cox seconded by L. J. Defosset.
The reports of the City Clerk for the month of December, 1930, and of the City
Collector for the month of January, 1931, were received and ordered filed on motion of
Chas. Forbes seconded by Iz. Z. Cox.
The report of the City Collector on "Unpaid Licenses" was taken up and on
motion of L. J. Defosset seconded by Chas. Forbes the same was referred to the Chief of
Police for investigation and report at the next meeting of the Council.
The application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation IJo. 188
for permit to do certain work. on Sycamore Street between Santa Rosa Street and Iaorro
Street in accordance with application on file, and that of Cline's Electric Shop for
periait to install Neon Signs at the Pioneer 7 :Iarket corner ;.',arsh Street and s.Iorro Street
were laid over until the next geeting.
It was -roved by L. J. Defosset, seconded by Chas. Forbes and carried, that the
following named be added to the list of Volunteer Firemen and enlisted as such;

The City Attorney was directed to furnish the Council with a draft of an
Ordinance covering wholesale peddlers in the City of San Luis Obispo.
On motion of Chas. Forbes seconded by H. E. Cox the meeting adjourned.
