City Hall, :;Ionday, August 17th, 1931, 7.30 P. M. City Council :yet in regular session - Vice President of the Council John Chapek J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset. Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer. The minutes of August 3rd, and 10th.v.,ere read and approved as read on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer. The application of Ethel Stone for permit to make addition to building, part Lot Block 27, at a cost of $250.00 was.,-granted on motion of H,.--,Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer. The application of 'VI.I.Richardson for license for Lunch Counter at 1804'Osos Street, and of Mrs. D. Walters for license for Palmistry and Astrology were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer. The application of W.A.Turner for permit to connect with sewer on Palm Street between Ida Street and Grove Street was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L. J. Defosset. The petition of E.R.Lewis for transfer of license for Lunch Counter at 699 Higuerf Street to V.V.Costa was granted on ,notion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H..L-,.Cox. The application of i:irs. L,`.H.i:Iills for permit to lay curbing on High Street was sgain.continued. On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset,Commissioner of Supplies J.B.Berkemeyer was granted leave of absence from the State covering a period of 10 days, beginning August 23rd, 1931. Hearing on the issuance of Bonds to cover unpaid assessments for the improvement of Ida Street (High School Bridge), Resolution of Intention No. 319 (liew ,Series), continued from August 10th, 1931, was now taken up. Protests overruled - and, Resolution Me, 362 (New Series) A Resolution relating to the issuance of improve- ment Bonds of the City of San Luis Obispo, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 319 (New Series) determining the amount of unpaid assessments, prescribing the denomination of such Bonds, and providing for their issuance and delivery, was introduced and adopted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer by the following vote : Ayes J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset, Noes None. Absent L.F.Sinsheimer. Ordinance No. 159 (New Series) .An Ordinance repealing Section 4 of Ordinance iuo. 32 (New Series) was introduced and passed to print, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by a.?.Cox by the following vote Ayes : J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset.
